I have been a devoted fan for a decade. When you book an appointment with any Volr stylist, you are most likely finding your hair’s soulmate. Trini’s style is discerning and while you will walk into a pristinely clean and detailed work space, you will feel the warmth of a friend. I have recommended Volr to numerous friends and they have all been satisfied. I have been platinum (Gwen Stefani) blonde, MJ (Spider-​Man) copper red, chestnut brown, strawberry blonde, and then seamlessly color matched back to my multi-​hued red, and with healthy hair through every single post-​breakup color swing. There is an artistry in the skill of this entire team, but with a confidence boosting warmth and charm. I look forward to every single visit and I feel more Bey than Beyoncé when I bounce out of that door.

A friend recommended Volr to me after seeing a stylist regularly there. She said that they are awesome and always do a great job on her, and they also happened to be just down the street from my house. So I went in for a haircut and highlights. I naturally grew out the highlights in my hair, so I kind of had an ombré thing going on, and I didn’t want to start all over again from the root, so I just wanted to brighten up the ombré I already had and then get a trim.
Everything started out perfectly fine. When the stylist, who’s name I will leave out, asked me what I wanted to do with my color, she pulled out her cell phone and asked me to pick the picture that best represents what I wanted, which I thought was a very smart way of going about it. We decided that we were gonna just brighten up the ombré with more ash blonde highlights. I was really excited because she really seemed to know what she was doing and I thought it was going to turn out great.
About half way through her applying the foils to my hair, one of her personal friends walks in for her appointment, in the middle of mine! The stylist then quickly finishes my foils and begins working on her friends hair! So, she had two appointments going on at the same time! I had never seen anything like this before! I have never been to a hair salon, in which I am paying over $ 200 for this service, to have the stylist SHARE my appointment time with someone else… I thought it was so unprofessional! And this was my first time at this salon.
I just sat there for a good 45 minutes waiting for her to come over to my chair, just to at least check my color to make sure that it was developing okay! she NEVER did that! She was just over at her friends chair talking about their kids and family and work and basically ranting on about their personal lives when I am just sitting over here waiting for her to wash the bleach out of my hair!
Finally, she comes over and washes my hair, then cuts it and styles it with a blow dryer and flat iron. When she gave me the mirror to look at my color, it was completely wrong, nothing ash about it, it was more of a caramel color than a light ash! I was more reddish than blonde actually. I was very disappointed, Although, I will admit, the cut was probably the best I have ever had in my life. You couldn’t even tell that she cut it, and I have long hair so that’s important to me.
However, the overall experience was just wrong. Maybe my color would have turned out right if she hadn’t invited one of her friends to come in, probably for free, at the same time that I was SCHEDULED! I was so upset about spending $ 250 dollars on that color, and it just wasn’t what I wanted, so I decided to go back to my usual salon, «Mane Attraction», two days later, and the girl did an amazing job. She listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted. Even though I had to spend another $ 250 on my hair in the same week, it was worth it to me to get the color I had wanted. In fact, I didn’t even feel comfortable calling Volr and complaining and explain my situation to them. I knew it wouldn’t be worth it, and I didn’t even want the same person to do my hair again, even if it was free.
I am very disappointed with Volr and I have not been back since. I am sticking with Mane Attraction for good this time! They are a little more expensive, but they treat their clients like gold, so it’s well worth it!

I’ve been to Volr twice. Both times I saw Lorraine for haircuts. She’s a great stylist and has an awesome personality.
I wasn’t impressed with the salon itself and won’t be back because of it. My first time there, I got an ice cold shampoo because they were ‘out of hot water’. My second visit was Dec ’14, during the week Phoenix had a good cold snap. I walked in for an early morning appointment, and the receptionist was bundled up in a coat and scarf. It was seriously had to be about 50 degrees in the salon. My first thought was that they shut the heat off at night, and since it was early morning, the salon just hadn’t had a chance to warm up yet. But I found out that the heat wasn’t working, and apparently had been out for a few days. The stylists were rolling around the hood dryers to try to keep their clients warm. I would think the salon could have called clients to give them an option to reschedule. No call, and the receptionist didn’t even mention the arctic conditions, even though we were on the cusp of seeing your breath. Freezing air+wet head=misery.

I have gone to so many hair salons in the valley and haven’t found «the» hair stylist yet. I always leave the salon feeling meh or whatever about it. I live right down the street from Volr salon and have always been interested but never have gone. I recently went and have NEVER been so happy about my hair. I had my hair done by Lorraine and she was nothing but sweet, caring, and confident. I kept saying I’m nervous about how my highlights will turn out but she said do not worry you’re going to love it. I did. I will be going back again and again. I finally found «the» hair stylist. I have never been so in love with my color! Thanks again Volr salon.

I just had my hair done by Lorraine Watson at the VOLR salon. I am so pleased with my hair. Lorraine was so great, she offered many options for color and style. I haven’t been to a salon in over eight years so I was a little hesitant to find a salon and have to find a new stylist. I love my hair it looks amazing and it is so soft and has amazing volume. The staff is very friendly and they have great customer service. I will definitely be returning.

I moved to Phoenix from Virginia and I was lost in choosing a quality stylist. After several bad experiences I went to VOLR. Today made my 3^rd appointment with Nikki, and I have to say I couldn’t be more satisfied! She is diligent and patient with my thick hair. She is cautious about keeping the integrity of my hair strong while lifting my hair to a perfect shade of blonde. I highly recommend her, but the other salon professionals seem great as well! I love the atmosphere and the product of VOLR.

I have been going to Nikki as a stylist for several years, and I wanted to write this review to share how very talented she is. She is such a phenomenal talent with color; in fact, she teaches color to other stylists. I have blonde highlights and I’m picky about what shade they are, but I have complete trust in Nikki. I have received many compliments on my hair since she has been doing it to the point that my friends have also sought out Nikki to do their hair. She’s also great at cuts and styling; I always try to schedule my appointment for a day where I have something fun to do when I can show off my style. Nikki is also a warm, funny person; sitting in her chair is like visiting an old friend and playing catch up. I highly recommend her.

Jillian is absolutely AmAzZziNg! I follow her wherever she goes. I love the new salon, all of the staff is so laid back and friendly, it has a very comfortable atmosphere. Last time I was in the music was much better too, idk why that matters to me but it does Back to Jillian… She is the perfect person to go to if you know exactly what you want done, or no clue at all! I usually am all over the place and somewhere in between that. She is a true artist and always comes up with something better than I could ever imagined! Check this place out, you won’t regret it!!!

I discovered VOLR Salon because I followed one of their newest stylists Ruben from his prior salon. I was thoroughly impressed with the every aspect of the salon, design, comfort and most importantly friendly professional smiling faces.
I brought my sister and girlfriend with me, so we were there for the better part of 5 hours. All three of us had completely different hair and Ruben rocked it with all of us taking his time to listen and add his opinion.
The owner Trini approached me many times striking up conversation, asking me questions and couldn’t wait to run his hands through my hair when Ruben was done … how great is that!
If I lived in the Phoenix area full time, there is no questions that I would be a faithful client of Ruben’s and VOLR Salon.
It is clear that not only does Trini have an amazing talent for hair and business sense, but when you have a happy staff on top of that … you are a owner who treats your staff with respect and that shines through the minute you walk in the door!
Oh yeah it doesn’t hurt that EVERY man who works there is GORGEOUS! Sorry but I couldn’t help but share that!

I’ve been Trini’s client for about 14 years now. I will follow him where ever he goes (and I have been). Trini is the most knowledgeable, gentle, and educated hair stylist I ever gone to. He always knows what haircut will fit my face and my personality. His knowledge of color and cut comes from a long career both here and Europe. He always like to be informed of new styles and will advise you if it’s for you or not. Ultimately it’s your decision but for me Trini is the one that makes all the decisions… :-)

The new location is gorgeous! In love with Trini he is so knowledgeable, experienced and simply outstanding. Further all of the staff especially Francisco are kind, helpful & friendly. The head massage with shampoo is out of this world. I love my hair every time I leave and even for months after — No other hairstylist although several have been great has understood color like Trini. Once you come here there will be no other place!

First off– the change in location was a beautiful decision! The new salon is gorgeous, and let me tell you… Jillian is amazing! She’s been doing my hair for quite some time and I’ve followed her to the new location in uptown Phoenix!

The only place I will ever go to get my hair done! Jillian works wonders every visit! The staff is always friendly and the store is beautiful. You will walk out feeling like a model :)

I will follow this crew any where! I have been a client of Jillians for over 5yrs and I dont even have to tell her what I want done, she just does her magic and I always feel beautiful when she is done. I love the new space it is very open and beautiful. All staff members are so nice and friendly.

I 100% recommend this Salon. Trini has done my hair for 4 years now and I am always satisfied! I also bring my children and the staff is amazing when cutting their hair from my little girls long locks to my teenage sons ever changing hairstyles. The salon is modern and beautiful and of course I can always get great products too!

This team has been in the business here in the valley for many years. My wife has been a happy client and always has had a great experience. The new build out is in line with Trini’s fabulous taste and attention to detail.

I’m madly in love with the new, gorgeous Volr Salon location on 7^th Street. But the truth of the matter is if Trini was styling hair out of a shed, I’d gladly go there! Plain and simple… every time I leave his chair I feel happy and beautiful.
Aside from his unmatched talents, he has a heart of gold. My Trini anniversary is the same exact day as my wedding anniversary. That’s right, he styled my hair and did my makeup for the first time on my wedding day in Mexico. How crazy is that?! My former hairstylist cancelled last minute and Trini humbly offered his services. He did such an amazing job he got a new client for life. And a friend who is forever thankful.
