Tombstone Tactical

In light of the events that have happened in Florida I decided I should look into possibly getting a gun. I had heard of tombstone tactical so I thought I would go there to educate myself on firearms. I was not in the building longer then 2 mins and heard 3 inappropriate comments about gay people, by the staff so I didn’t stay. I will never come here again I will take my business to a company with less bigotry.

Very rarely do I write reviews but these guys deserve it. I have been here on multiple occasions and everytime I go it seems their inventory improves on gear and guns. I am always treated great here, the first time I entered I was starting to build an AR. They took the time to answer ALL my questions and that was about an hour long. Never did they make me feel stupid or pressure me to go one way or another towards any company. This sort of unbiased honesty has kept me coming back. I have been to Cabelas, Sportsmans Warehouse and all the other major gun shops in the Valley and this is always the first place that will get my business. They provide excellent customer service & their prices can not be beat by anyone in the valley.

Best prices in Phoenix, willing to match or get close to online prices. I bought my first gun here. I walked in and tried to buy a Sig 250 in .40. They talked me into the Sig 320 in 9 mm. I listened to them and was very happy with this gun.
I do stop in a lot but the place is always busy. They always recognize me. It feels like Cheers for guns.
Most of the employees have a lot of experience either owning or working in a gun store. They all love guns and can give you a lot of information to make a smart purchase.
They also give 3% discount for cash and have a layaway program.
There is a large well laid out selection of guns and ammo.

The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a decent selection of firearms and accessories and their ammo prices are lower than what I’m used to. I’ll definitely go back.

Called ahead to confirm something was in stock, fought through rush hour traffic to get there and it was worth it. Very friendly guy helped me from start to finish. it was an easy sale because I knew what I wanted.
Reason it isn’t a 5 is because they had me pay BEFORE doing the paperwork. No reason to do that. I knew there were no issues, but it may be for some. and I saw a sign that said a $ 25 fee is charged if the background check fails which seemed odd. Also, I’m just not a fan of the cash vs credit pricing. I know it is popular in this industry but I avoid gas stations that do it, it is just the nature of the beast in this industry I guess. I did pay cash to save a few bucks.
It is a tough drive for me from Tempe, but if I find something on their site and its in stock, I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

Great product choice, the employees are knowledgeable and courteous (that’s different from other gun shops) enough employees to answer your questions and show products. Fast checkout! I highly recommend Tombstone Tactical!!!

This place is the best shop in town. Everyone that works there is great, and they have the best prices I could find, even on line. If you’re looking for a good spot to browse or purchase without feeing overwhelmed, give it try.

Purchased a shotgun online on a Saturday and the gun arrived at my local FFL dealer Wednesday. This was a gift for my son’s birthday and I was concerned about it arriving in time.
they made it happen and it was a smooth and painless process. nothing but good things to say about Tombstone Tactical.

What’s to say? Always exceptional service and great selection. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable, the store exceptionally clean and well stocked. They’re now my «go to» seller.

Excellent customer service and the prices seem on par for Arizona guns.
They received an item that I needed transferred. I was told it should be ready by the next day so and I drove there to find it wasn’t. But they fit me in and I’m a happy customer. They have a good selection to. If I didn’t already have more guns than I know what to do with I could easily pick something there.

I never plan on returning to this store. I went to buy a rifle since it said on their website they had many of the one I wanted available. Even right now, the next day, it says they have 230 available so you would think they had at least 1 actually available. So I headed there from across town.
When I got there I looked at their display gun and liked it so they took one out from the back. They started ringing me up and even started taking my information and ID, only to tell me that they were wrong and actually did not have any available. They then told me they could order me one, but it would not be at the same price (did not tell me a price just that it would be different).
I went to Sportsmans Warehouse right after and bought the rifle I wanted for about the same price so I know I can find just as good of prices elsewhere with far better service.

I’m giving this store 0 stars for this reason.
Service was really bad. Veteran discount warning. I first went there because I read they had great prices on firearms. And there was a review that they give discounts for veterans.
FYSA (For Your Situational Awareness): before they ring you up ask what the price will be. The salesperson first said they give veterans discount then later said that it depends on the item. So because the DB89 was used, it doesn’t have a discount.
The first time I visited the store, in civies, I looked around and saw the used DB. I noticed there was one person helping a customer and three others just talking amongst themselves. I just thought that they were leaving me alone to look so when I was ready to ask for the pistol, I just stood there waiting for one of them to ask me if j needed assistance. That didn’t happen. A few of them walked in front of me as I was standing at the counter but they just kept walking to talk to the other person. I thought, maybe they had a question for him but they were just talking about what they did last night and what’s coming up this weekend. I waited until there was a stopping point in there conversation and asked to see the pistol. I was irritated but it was for a good price.
I had to think about it but returned a week later on the way home from work in uniform. It was suppose to be a quick, that’s what I want, bought, fill out the form and get out.
First, I wanted to make sure they offered a discount. I asked if they did and I was asked if I was a veteran. I’m in uniform. I thought to myself, just because I’m in uniform, it doesn’t mean I had been overseas or in the regular Army. So I answered yes and asked if I could get the DB. The cashier, different person now, rang me up and we proceeded with the paperwork. I have a CCW permit so I only had to enter my info in their system.
We went back to the register and I asked what was the total and I was charged the regular price. That is when I was informed that the discount only applies for certain items. And it’s not a written policy. The cashier then said it was cheaper than regular price. I informed him that I knew the regular price but that was for a new pistol and this was used. It was a whole $ 10 cheaper from a new one with two magazines. It was already rang up so I just wanted to proceed.
He went in the back so that his manager could check it was filled out properly. He came back saying that he needed my PCS orders because I put on the form I was active duty. My ID was not good enough. So I went home, changed, and printed out my Orders. I went back the an hour later.
By this time, I was just irritated that I had to be questioned on my citizenship, service and if my address was the same address the credit card address was. ???
I told him that I changed my mind. Now, it’ll be a few days before it gets back to my account because their accounting department will have to process the refund. And 3% will not be refunded because of the processing fee.
At this time. I didn’t care and just wanted out of there. I did bring my orders because they were confused between transfer or PCS orders. I tried to explain for their future reference but because I asked for a refund, they stopped listening.
I just felt that they really didn’t want my business and could care less to sell a firearm to me.
I will not be shopping at this store anymore. Too bad. With the authorization to conceal carry at work for all Guard personnel, they could get some good business.

Unfortunately, I was unable to do any business with Tombstone Tactical today, and will not again. I placed an order online to pick up, despite living 3 hours away, based on a friend ‘s recommendation, and backed by reviews here. I drove the long drive down, and as I was retrieving my order, was informed I could not because, though I brought my ID, they needed an additional government issued proof of residence. Had I been informed of this prior to my trek, I would have brought some. However, due to Arizona’s generally lenient gun laws for Arizona residents, I had never needed to do this before and didn’t anticipate needing to do so now. Suffice to say, I’ve wasted time and gas and I’m pissed about my experience with Tombstone Tactical.

Stopped in for a arm stabilizer for my Ar15 pistol build. Again these guys are very generous and great prices. saved 10.00 compared online, Amazon etc. I will be returning for a trigger soon. Good place guys

I have always had good interactions with Tombstone Tactical even when I could only deal with them online since I am in Phoenix. I was extremely excited when they announced they were opening a Phoenix location.
I decided on an AR that I wanted to buy and they were by far the cheapest (up to $ 300 cheaper) then the other local stores, its insane. I first started out speaking with someone through their facebook page but ended up calling in and speaking with someone from the team. I wasn’t rushed off the phone at all and he told me to come into the store and gave me their hours.
When I got to the store (my first time in the new store front) I was impressed with their selection on the walls and in the cases, most other known names don’t have that kind of presence in their store fronts.
I actually realized my neighbor works there so I dealt with him and their system showed they had the rifle I was hunting for in stock so he spent some time going through all their inventory looking for the rifle. We couldn’t find the rifle so we went ahead and ordered it from the distributor.
Everyone there is awesome and have been some of the easiest guys to deal with in the gun world, some other shops the guys seem to have a bit of an attitude when you talk to them about the firearms.
I will continue to buy from them.

The store is very clean and they have a lot of firearms, just not a large variety of brands. I would have expected to see some Springfield handguns and a few others.
The customer service was meh, and there were more employees in the store than customers. And maybe someday they will grow up and be a real company, that charges the posted price for debit and credit, not add 3% to the posted price. I am all for a cash DISCOUNT, not a credit up-​charge.

Came here lookn for a 38 special DERRINGER n got lucky they one in stock n it was wwhat I wanted. The guy was very helpful to my needs n questions staff is very knowledgeable n courteous and friendly. I would come bak for more future business with out a doubt. Prices are fair depending on what ur looking for.

This review is for the online store. Great online store! Watch out for their credit card up-​charges. Send a check for the lowest price — it is upfront and they don’t hide that fact. Their online store does NOT have real time inventory! I placed an order for a rifle and sent a check that same day. The next afternoon, I received a call that the rifle didn’t exist in their inventory. They gave me communication about what they were going to do (cash my check and cut me a check back). This whole process took two weeks, but I did get my money back. Awesome customer service!

I’d heard a few good things about this place from friends so I decided to stop in and take a look. Very glad I did.
First, prices are outstanding. I asked about a particular gun I am interested in, that I saw for $ 869 at Scottsdale Gun Club just a few days ago. They had the exact same one at $ 648. (I have a friend who is a dealer and he showed me his cost from the manufacturer is $ 599, so TT has an excellent price on this gun at less than 10% profit.) There was one particular accessory I needed for a build, and SGC had it at $ 179. It was $ 119 at Tombstone. I wound up cancelling an order on another accessory I ordered online because I found it cheaper at Tombstone. Very impressed.
Next, service was outstanding. Staff was very helpful without being pushy in any way. I had questions, they had answers.
They did mention that there is an unadvertised and unspecified veteran discount on some items, and varies based on what kind of room they have to work with in any particular item. It’s worth asking about if you’re a veteran, though.
Will definitely be back often.
