The Sugar Spa

Did Jenny go out of business or move? I read all of the reviews for her on Unilocal and really wanted to try her out for my first time sugaring, but every time I call it says her number has been disconnected and my emails will not go through.

Wow! Words CANNOT describe my visit at the Sugar Spa with Jenny. Not only did she make me feel comfortable, but she is extremely knowledgeable (a dying breed). She offers a free skin analysis, in which she was thoughtful and meticulous. It was obvious to me that she simply just wanted to do the best she could for treatment of my skin. She didn’t rush me out of there feeling lost, an experience I’ve often had with spas, but instead she sent me home with detailed instructions on the aftercare. Unlike most spas I’ve OVERpaid, Jenny did not try to sell to me. Thank the lord above. From my experience, I can say she was super polite, caring, and a completely honest professional who showcases her fantastic products and services (of which are paraben and sulfate free), without making you feel like you have a dollar sign stapled to your forehead. I will definitely be returning to see Jenny frequently, as she made me feel beautiful and confident in preparation for my upcoming wedding day. Thank you, Jenny!

Jenny is amazing! I have been being sugared by Jenny for almost 3 years now and I drive all the way from Flagstaff for her services. I get the works… legs, brazilian, underarms and eye brows. She is completely worth the drive! Funny thing was the first time I went to her, I was getting ready to go to Mexico on vacation and really only intended on having a one time service with her. Lol, I was hooked and I have seen her every month or two ever since! Sugaring is totally different from waxing with hot wax. It doesn’t irritate the skin like hot wax can and it removes so much more of the hair at the follicle instead of breaking it off at the surface which means the hair doesn’t grow back nearly as fast. She is great in keeping you so comfortable during the services and is very meticulous, thorough and quick. Besides all that, she is so friendly and easy to talk with during the appointments. She is worth every penny and her prices are so reasonable for what her services include! You won’t find her services and level of expertise anywhere else in the state… for sure not in Northern AZ! I promise you won’t be disappointed by her. She also offers many more services than just sugar waxing too (facials, peels, etc.) She appreciates her clients and I appreciate her! I would HIGHLY recommend her even if you have to drive across the state to see her!

I wanted to give them my business but they never answer the phone. Didn’t answer my call when I left a message. I gotta get a wax and if there is no receptionist, how am I supposed to get an appointment?

I met Jenny in 2010 and that was my first time being sugared ever. She made me feel comfortable and she took her time with me. When I moved back to AZ I called her to make sure she was still at the same location. I was so glad to know that she is still there. She promised me when we first met that once I got sugared I wouldn’t go back to waxing again and she is right! I appreciate her professionalism, her open availability and her knowledge of her products. I would recommend her to anybody that wants an alternative method to waxing and having better results.

I heard about this place from my sister. She came all the way from San Diego to go to The Sugar Spa because she had researched sugaring and was so impressed with Jenny’s reviews. Once she went she said she would never go anywhere else again. I couldnt agree more.
I went once and I’ll never go anywhere else. The entire experience and the final product was better than anywhere else I’ve been. It isnt painful like waxing. It takes forever to grow back and the more you go the less it seems to grow back. Jenny takes the time to get to know you and finds out all about your skin before even starting, so you know you’re getting the work done that is specific to your needs. And honestly, you’re getting what you pay for. Jenny doesnt cut corners and lower her quality just to stay competitive. In fact, I wouldnt even say she is in the same market as other salons. It’s apples to oranges — you go to a cheap, quick salon/​chain if you want something cheap (price/​quality) and quick. You pay less for low quality. But for a little more you could get a more professional experience that will look better, feel better, be tailored to your skin type, and last longer. Plus she is a caring advisor if you ever have any questions. How many salons really care about the follow up? In my experience, she is in a category totally beyond all of the others.
Her rates are fantastic for what you get, anyway. I go to her because I am comfortable with her; it wont be a new person each time (like with some bigger places), she is an expert (and meticulous) at what she does, I can call her and she answers any questions I may have before/​during/​after, and she only uses the best products.
Plus I’d rather support a smaller business than go to a chain!

So I had been waxing and have very sensitive skin and get ingrown hairs from shaving AND waxing from Brazilians. I just had a Brazilian Wax about a week and NO INGROWN HAIRS, I have never not had ingrown hairs in my life. OMG I LOVE SUGARING!!! I heard about sugaring and went on Unilocal and found The Sugar Spa. Jenny is so incredible. She makes you feel comfortable and talks to you to ease through the process. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her… you have to go and experience her yourself. You won’t be disappointed. I am already booked for my next appointment and will never go back to shaving or traditional waxing EVER AGAIN!!!

Jenny is incredibly knowledgeable about skin and skin care. She is very sweet and always makes me feel comfortable. I have been to her twice now and I will go back again very soon. I would highly recommend her to anyone. All the products she uses are natural and very kind to the skin.

I have been waxing for about 6 months, with results I was not too excited about, so after hearing about sugaring I wanted to give it a try to see if it would be easier on my sensitive skin.
Jenny was super meticulous and got so much more than any waxing treatment I have gotten. She was extremely thorough, and made sure I got all of the proper pre and post care that I needed.
She also included my underarms for free, which was my first time doing them so I was a bit nervous, but I am so happy with the results!
She also has a great first time deal, as well as a great referral special– try her, you won’t be disappointed!

Jenny is as good as it gets when it comes to taking care of your skin and getting rid of unwanted hair. I have been a client of Jenny’s for 5 years now and it is because she is excellent! I would not trust anyone else!
Instead of using wax for hair removal she does suggaring. This is basically a glob of sugar that is spread on the skin. I have a lot of allergies and this method is very hypoallergenic and causes minimal irritation for me. She is the best at eyebrow shaping, very meticulous and listens to what you want. She also does an excellent bikini or Brazilian wax… she is FAST. I would highly recommend her!

Has wearing sandals &/​or heels all year done a number on your footsies? For the 1^st time last week I tried out a peel on my callused feet & OH EM GEE they look a million times better now! I have been a client of Jenny’s for all of my skin care and sugaring needs for many years now, and I’m super excited that she was finally able to open up her own place! Although, as I have done in the past, I would follow her to wherever she decided to work (yes, she’s that good!).
I have had Jenny do sugaring for me many times — she always does a great job, with as little pain as possible. I’ve also had a few facials, and the results were almost unbelievable. Even after extractions or chemical exfoliants, there was no redness or irritation (and I have very sensitive skin!) Afterwards, my skin positively GLOWED.
Jenny’s professionalism and positive demeanor are without equal, and the new spa is beautiful and relaxing.
