History

Established in 1999.

Our family has been in the automotive business serving the Valley since 1942. My grandfather owned Ray Korte Rambler/​Jeep on West Van Buren in the 40’s, 50’s & 60’s. My father and brothers owned Ray Tanner Motors, Ray Tanner Volvo and Broadway Volvo from 1958 to 1999. And my uncle Ray Korte Jr., along with my cousins, Ray Korte III and Virginia Korte, owned Ray Korte Chevrolet in Scottsdale from 1970 until 1998. For three generations, I have learned what old fashioned customer service is all about. We are not a «new kid» on the block. We believe in being a one-​stop-​shop auto body repair that fixes your car right the first time.

I was born and raised in the Valley and my family has been serving the Valley in the automotive industry since 1942. I joined Ray Tanner Motors in 1984 and opened Tanner Luxury Collision, now Tanner Collision, in 1999. We know that YOU are our Customer, not the insurance company. Mike Tanner and his crew fixed our Volvo XC60 after I was rear-​ended on the freeway. I could not be happier with the results! Sandy, his office gal, was very helpful from the get go, and Mike did a great job keeping me informed about the needed repairs and handled all dealings with the insurance company so I didn’t have to. They really make a great team and provide exceptional customer service and repair work. Highly recommended! Hopefully we won’t be back… but if in need of auto repair they will be our first choice for sure!

It’s not something you want to admit but both my husband and I have brought our cars to Tanner for collision repair. Their work is exceptional and their service is stellar. They will work with your insurance company and take much of that worry off your shoulders. Mike, Sandy and the Tanner team are wonderful to work with. As I’ve said to them before, jokingly, I hope I never have to see them again but, if the worst happens with our vehicles, we won’t hesitate coming to Tanner Collision!

I just had such a great experience with Tanner Collision! Last year I got into a parking lot accident that wrecked the back corner of my Subaru Forester. I searched repair shops on Google and chose Tanner because the website looked legit and I liked the idea of going to a family-​owned and operated shop. My interactions with Sandy at the front desk and Mike Tanner himself were great and I immediately knew my car was in good hands when I left it there. I ended up getting a few other minor repairs done and when I got the car back it felt practically brand new– major bonus points because they detail cleaned it before returning it to me!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to take my car back or recommend this shop to a friend. I am very grateful to them for the fine work they did and the way they communicated with me throughout the process, and I hope they enjoy continued success for many years to come!

Mike and the whole Tanner team are great to work with! We have taken our XC90 there twice and been extremely satisfied both times. I cannot say enough good things about Tanner Collision. They are polite, responsive, honest, thorough and fast! They go above and beyond in the little things. They worked with our insurance company even though they weren’t a «preferred repair shop» and that did not slow done the process on getting the job done and back to us quickly.
I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing body work done on their vehicle. Thank you Mike for your great family owned business! We will be back!

Tanner collision just repaired my car. They were all so helpful and my car looks like brand new. I was in a fender bender and knew I wanted to go to Tanner. A few years ago when there was all that hail damage, I had taken my car there. They are top-​notch at their craft, and ethical too. I felt like Mike Tanner helped me more than my own insurance agent.

Lets face it, if you’re at a body shop you have had a bad day. Mike and his staff make the process as painless as possible. Dealing with Tanner reminds me of living back home in New England and talking with an old family friend. They are friendly, explain everything and offer options without being pushy. The work they do is amazing. My car looks brand new, the work was completed sooner than promised and my car was spotless inside and out when I picked it up. They even stayed a few extra minutes after closing when I was on my way so I could get my car that day.

Words can’t express enough how amazing this place is. From the second I called them to schedule bringing my car in to after picking up my vehicle I have been impressed.
My boyfriend has used them in the past and when I was in a car accident he insisted I bring my car here. State Farm low balled my repairs and offered to pay for my vehicle to be fixed (2013 Hyundai Tucson) but not with OEM parts and not having any of the pumpers, doors, mirrors etc replaced. Mike Tanner renegotiated with State Farm and was able to get everything done right. All new parts instead of just pulling out dents and repainting.
They went above and beyond. Not to mention they fully detailed my car, I was not expecting that. It was show room new once again!

My Volvo dealer recommended Tanner after I rear-​ended another car. I initially spoke with Mike Tanner who worked with me on a ride back to my house after I dropped off my car. He and his staff are very professional, friendly and most importantly did a great job on restoring my Volvo C30 back to «like-​new» condition. I checked on the progress of my car a couple of times and spoke to Ed from the shop who took the time to answer my questions. A much better experience than when I’ve used the «assembly line» franchise body shops who are impersonal and don’t seem to care about their work. Would recommend Tanner to anyone who cares about quality work done by quality professionals.

Tanner Luxury Auto is a «Top Notch» family owned commpany. From the front desk to the shop, the service is superior. Being a female and having to take my car in can be a uncertain experience. At Tanner I have always been treated WONDERFUL. They are very honest and professional. Things are explained in a clear manner and I have never felt rushed. From detailing to major body repair, the work they have done on my car has been exceptional. The estimates are very reasonable in that they quote what is best for the long term of the car and for your budget ! I am so impressed with Tanner Luxury Auto. I would trust sending anyone from a teenager to a grandparent, a brand new car to a vintage car, and I would know that the service and quality of work would be consistent and exceed your expectations !!
