I can’t say enough GREAT things about Swank Salon. I go to Bill the owner and he IS THE Hair Extraordinaire! He always exceeds my expectations with the best cuts and color. He clearly loves what he does and is so creative and always goes above and beyond for all of his clients. My hair is longer, healthier and shinier… he even found me the best, non-​toxic hair color that I love!!! I feel privileged to have found him!!! It really is a great salon. *On a personal note, he is a lovey, caring person and a fellow dog lover!

I have been coming to Swank for about 10 years now. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. In fact, I moved to California 2 years ago and still come back monthly when I visit family. Both Bree and Bill do exceptional jobs with color and cuts. And Trini is a delight — she does great nail work and is a pleasure to talk to as she works. Best of all, the place is very comfortable — it’s like visiting a friend’s house. The staff get along well and make it a pleasure to get pampered.

Been going to Bill since May of 2011… he has been the best stylist I have ever come across! This salon is top notch! You can have yourself a beer or a glass of wine while you get all snazzed up! Prices are inexpensive and Bill takes his time to make sure your experience is the best! Make sure you book your appointments with Bill fast because his schedule fills up quickly due to the fact that he is awesome! Customer for life! Do yourself a favor and book with the best in Phoenix!

Nicole is THE best hair artist of all time. I bought a groupon 3+ years ago and Score! I live in Chicago now, but will fly back to Phoenix just so she can do my hair. I tried two salons in Chicago and what a bummer. Nobody compares. Very reasonably priced, squeeky clean salon, swanky atmosphere, super friendly service, great conversation, and stellar strands to top it off. If you’re like me and have had trouble finding a good hairstylist, try her once and you’ll never worry about your locks again. Nicole=Pure Gold.

I’ve been to several salons over the years and, as a nerdy introvert, I dread going to get my hair done because most places make me feel super uncomfortable and self-​conscious, but not Swank! Swank is small, comfortable and unpretentious. It was easy to schedule my appointment online and when I arrived, I found staff to be welcoming and friendly. My stylist gave me a fantastic cut, and when I went to pay, no one tried to push products on me (thank you!). I tipped 25% because they are well worth it!

Love Swank! I have been getting my nails done by Trinie for awhile now and I won’t go to anyone else! She is absolutely amazing and takes her time with each client. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming every time I’m in there. If you are looking for a great place for hair and nails– Swank is it!

Swank Salon is located in the executive towers, which it clearly states on the website, but I didnt pay attention. So be warned, if you’re pregnant and absent– minded, like me, it’s IN the apartment/​condo building :)
The salon itself is clean, small, unpretentious. I like it that way personally, because I don’t like busy– it means hurry up and get this person out of my chair (sometimes).
My stylist was Nicole, based on the reviews and one particular reviewer who I sought out to answer more directly about her (which was so nice, btw). She greeted me and sat me down. I explained that I wanted bright blonde. Brought in pictures of the color and cut and she went to work. She was very sweet– asked me about my life, I asked about hers… down to earth kinda girl. Always asked if I was comfortable and needed anything, which was very nice since my pregnant self usually isnt. Just a quick fyi note, she didn’t have me process the color under heat until the last five minutes which I like. It’s no big deal when it happens, but I dont like the breakage that I get under heat. After foils were out, she began the cut, which didnt take long. She blew it dry and I could tell I loved the cut but was a little worried the blonde wasnt bright enough. I never can tell in the salon. As it got styled, I felt more and more happy with it. Left with what I thought was a wonderful highlight and best cut I’ve gotten in years. When I got home and ran my fingers through it, parted it where I usually do, I noticed then in my lighting it wasnt exactly what I asked for. Based on that, I would’ve given 4 stars. But I called back later and explained to Nicole my thought. She apologized and asked when I could come in to add some more highlights. The next day, she fit me in to her schedule, put in a ton more highlights on the top. I processed while she finished up another client. After she dried it, it was one of those «Aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwhhhh» angelic singing moments.. I was so happy with the look. I couldnt stop looking in the mirror the next day. And I dont care how vain it sounds, because lookin in the mirror while pregnant and your body is growing at rapid speed and ENJoYING the reflection is comforting. Based on her willingness to satisfy the customer and the wonderful job she did on my hair, 5 stars. So thank you Nicole for my new reflection. Cant wait to go back!

I tried Swank after searching for a Salon for several weeks. The reviews here are right on!!!
I was greeted by who I think is the owner and immediately offered a drink. I was early, so I waited for just a few minutes. Bree was my stylist and she did a GREAT job! She listened to what I wanted and made some suggestions for things I needed to do to my hair. She put in some really great product that left my hair silky and smooth!

I have been going to Swank Salon for almost a year now. I get regular haircuts and colors there, I have also had extensions put in and maintained, all done by Nicole. I am extremely satisfied with my experience at Swank. Nicole is wonderful and everyone else in the salon is friendly and kind. I would highly recommend Swank to anyone looking for a great cut and wonderful color.

I decided to try this salon after reading the reviews on Unilocal.
I have now been to Swank twice, and both times have seen Nicole. She does a wonderful job with my hair and is always cheerful. Also, she listens well and is committed to ensuring your hair looks exactly as you want it!
The salon itself is small but nice and everyone working there always seems friendly and energetic.
I am very happy to have found Nicole and Swank Salon! The prices are good and the service is great! I would highly recommend this salon!

Bill took me from old, washed out mop to gorgeous with spot-​on ash blonde highlights (mixed with dk. brown/​black base-​fabulous!) and a cut. I am from San Francisco, so I am used to skilled stylists — Bill is one of the best in the biz! His puppy photo show is adorable too!
Good times at Swank — a nice, easy vibe from the moment you walk in. Terrific location, great décor, laid back, friendly staff. Sally is the best — of course, she is sicilian! Bill Barber, I LOVE U! VERY highly recommend this salon!

I came in about a month ago to see Nicole. I just moved to this area and, up until then, hadn’t found a great hair person. However, I wanted to take my hair from blond to a chocolate brown and didn’t want to risk it at a generic SuperCuts (although that would’ve been cheaper, I’m sure).
Everyone was extremely welcoming and I was offered water/​coffee/​etc immediately upon being seated. The coffee was delicious, by the way! And then over the next couple hours Nicole took my over-​highlighted blonde hair to a beautiful chocolate brown that was the EXACT color I’d been picturing in my mind. And through it all she was polite and professional, yet still easy to talk to. I’m still getting compliments to this day!
I will be back!

My fabulous friend encouraged me to buy the recent Groupon for Swank and we were quite happy with our visit.
The location was kind of strange… in the lobby of a condo building… and we were greeted by a woman who seemed somewhat confused by our presence. However, we were offered beverages immediately and barely had to wait.
Adrian gave me a great wash, cut, and style in a short amount of time. He was friendly and laughed at all of my stories of teaching awkward middle schoolers (I love someone who laughs at my jokes). He even threw in a quick scalp massage that felt amazing! My friend was not so lucky…
I really was quite happy with my visit and my hair looks pretty damn good too. I was thrilled with the Groupon price, but am even thinking about going back for a full price haircut. That’s definitely saying something…

I stumbled onto Swank through another website. I was able to make my appointment on line (loved that!), confirm it on line, see reviews here on Unilocal.All of them were awesome. Thanks fellow Unilocalers! I had a wonderful experience with Nicole. I brought in a picture of the style I wanted. She made it happen thus making me very, very happy!
I love the location too. Very nice urban feel not too over the top. Music was great. Good variety without beating up my eardrums :)

I’ve been going to Swank for years — and I love them. I LOVE Bill. If we’ve ever met, you’ve seen the mess I have the deal with on my head. Crazy huge curls and damage due to years of my thinking that blonde was my color.
Uh, it’s not.
And thankfully Bill & his team have made me see the (brunette) light.
But this review is not only about the awesome service, fantastic job and warm staff … it’s also about the online booking. I just booked my first appointment without calling in and it was easy, simple and convenient. Just another reason to love this fabulous salon.

Went to Swank today, based on some reviews I had seen, and was really pleased. I was greeted and offered a beverage as soon as I arrived. Adrian listened to what I wanted, listened to what I didn’t want, and gave me a really great cut. He also showed me how to style it at home and what products to use to make it look great. I’m really pleased with my visit to Swank and expect to become a regular.

I have been using Swank Salon services for close to 6 months now and they have ALWAYS been on top of their game. I have had cuts and colors done by Bill and Nicole and facials by Bree. I’ve always been very pleased with the results and will continue to use them for all of my salon needs.
A trip to Swank is always a guaranteed hour of entertainment. The team is a fun group to be around and you can tell there is a lot of passion for their jobs. Good stuff! So if you’re looking for a comfortable, hip place to get your hair or nails (or a variety of other services) done check out Swank!

Gotta say these guys do a fantastic job with what I have left up top. Bill (last name Barber — lol), Adrian, and Sally are all really nice. This has been my place for about 3-​years now.
When you enter everyone says hello — kinda like Cheers. You are offered a beverage (from water and soda, to wine and beer). The place is very stylish and modern, located on the ground floor of a condominium high rise (just east of the Clarendon hotel).
I have referred several friends here over the years, guys and gals alike rave about the results.
