Stage Dreams Youth Theater is a youth theater program designed for children K-​12. We build confidence, friendships and theater experience. Our focus is on building a fun, family-​centered and nurturing educational theater program providing every student the opportunity to be a star!

Our students learn theatrical skills while maintaining a well-​balanced family life. We teach the ability to invest in a passion while leaving time for other activities.

Stage Dreams Youth Theater offers two types of classes:

1. Dream Classes are 14 week programs culminating in two live performances of a junior (shorter) version of a real show includes professional sound, lighting and make-​up!

2. Stage Classes are six week programs that focus on specific theater skills like voice, singing, acting or various technical stage-​crew skills (lighting, costumes, electric).

Classes are held in convenient areas in the North West and North Central area of Phoenix, AZ. Please check out our website for more information.

History

Established in 2012.

Stage Dreams Youth Theater was a dream of Becky James’ for many years. In 2012 it became a reality and hit the stage in the West Valley with it’s first full season. SDYT is an educational theater program designed for children in grades K-​12 to build confidence, friendships and theater experience. We provide a fun, safe and nurturing setting for youth to create theater. In Stage Dreams youth have the opportunity to learn skills and have a professional theatrical experience. To help them succeed, we provide high quality expert instruction and support. Our programs are designed so that youth can explore and develop their theatrical talents while maintaining a well-​balanced family life and have time for other activities.

Business Owner

I hold a Bachelor’s in Theater Performance from Radford University in VA. I have my teacher certificate and over 10 years of teaching experience in elementary and secondary levels. I loves the «ah-​ha» moment when children see or learn something new. My favorite part of working with so many talented children is the way each child creates their character and the growth in their personalities when they are allowed an avenue for their creativity.

Owning and operating a theater company has been a dream of mine for a long time and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to have my own dreams find a stage. I hope you will join us to find a stage for your dream!
