Established in 1997.

Owner Dave Jones started Spectrum because he knew he could do better than other janitorial cleaning services.

Dave had seen first-​hand the limits of large janitorial cleaning services and the difficulties customers had in getting managers to pay attention to their concerns. Corporate office companies were disconnected from their clients and unable to be flexible to adapt to their needs. Customers had to fight for attention from overworked and undertrained supervisors, and it was hard to get a response when cleaning wasn’t done right.

Spectrum is working to bring a personal connection back to a disconnected world and put businesses back in control of the office spaces they work in. With the professionalism and capacity of a larger janitorial cleaning services company, but with all the flexibility and follow-​through of a smaller office cleaner, Spectrum treats you like a person while providing the highest quality of janitorial cleaning service.

Business Owner

Before launching Spectrum Building Maintenance Company in 1997, Dave Jones was the manager of a fast-​growing, successful building maintenance company. As his management and problem-​solving skills were recognized, he was rapidly promoted from a part-​time position to Operations Manager for the entire company, with responsibility of over 50 buildings and numerous employees. With a bachelor’s degree in Construction Design and Engineering in hand, he left in 1997 to start his own company.

He resolved to personally supervise each account, to personally select and train his employees, and to personally follow-​up on all needs or problems with his clients. He has continued this level of personal attention with Spectrum’s janitorial cleaning services for the last 13 years.

An avid backpacker for the last 30 years, Dave loves Arizona and the Southwest. Dave lives in Phoenix with his lovely wife of 34 years.
