Sonora Quest Laboratories

Sooo… this is a LAB TESTING FACILITY. Not a hotel. Yes, the décor is drab — ok, nonexistent — but who cares?!? The place has always been clean when I’ve been there, and while it’s been more and less crowded at various times, there’ve always been more than enough places for everyone to sit.
I always make an appointment and we are in within a few minutes of the appointment time, even the time that I came late. I’ve found the front desk staff very polite and friendly, and the phlebotomists are just top-​notch. I’ve brought my 1-​year-​old here twice, and they are always both super nice and very skilled — he never even cries when they draw the blood!

If you don’t have an appointment be prepared to wait… and even if you do, you might be waiting for a while.
That being said, they are open on Saturday’s and so if you’re like me and your Doctor asks for blood draws once in a while, then this is a good option. Honestly, the wait isn’t all that bad. You may stand for a while waiting to check in, but once you get there, you’ll be processed quickly and asked to take a seat. Luckily the seats are comfortable, so just bring a book or play on your phone (although please bring headphones or earbuds if you’re going to watch videos). Eventually they’ll call your name and in my experience they have always been fast and professional once you are called.
Oh, and please have your forms and insurance card ready when you are called to the window. I’ve got to hand it to the staff, they deal with everyone very well, whether they speak English or not, whether they have insurance, or whether they even know why they’re supposed to be there.

For more than a year I’ve gone to this lab at least monthly and sometimes more often for blood draws and routine testing. At first I would try to «psych out» a time when I figured few others would also be there — I was almost never right. But, without fail, behind the reception desk sat Ruta Tanai, patience personified. I’ve never seen her upset, never heard her lose her temper (as many who are waiting do), never found her to be anything but helpful, professional and pleasant.
Going to the lab, for whatever reason, is not something most people look forward to but if Ruta Tanai is the one who will take your information and orders and insurance card/​s, then things just got a lot better! Thanks Ruta!

Horrendous from beginning to end, I had an appointment for 8:00 AM to get lab work done, it was 1 hr and 15 minutes after my appointment time before I was called back, close to 3 people who came in after me went before me. The place itself is dirty, crowded, and noisy.
I wonder what is the point of making an appointment when it still takes over an hour to get in? There was a man who came in without one and they told him it would take an hour. So really what is the point?

I have seen more accommodating and pleasant lobbies at auto repair facilities.
Ghetto like atmosphere. Stark, plastic folding chairs and green laminate flooring with dull play-​do gray walls. No pictures or artwork. Looks like a 40″ TV. I am no designer, but this place is drab and needs decorating.
The wait was also about 20 minutes to get in.
