Scissors Rox Paper

I am a «Snowbird» who spends 5 months here. I was looking through Groupon for a reputable salon to have my highlights and cut done. I found Scissors, Rox and Paper to be an outstanding experience! Abby did great job of listening to my requests and executing them! My highlights and cut turned out PERFECT! The receptionist was super friendly and overall I felt as if I had been a client there for years. I have found a wonderful salon for my winter home. Thank you ladies!

The girls working in the front are the WORST and will get your appointments WRONG! I was coming to Veronica (who is now at Leiden Mitchell on Indian School and 44^th) and scheduled TWO appointments with the girls in the front a month prior to my appointment. They kept asking over and over what time and what day I wanted. Then they called again the next day to confirm the WRONG time and day. This was sometime in August. So I corrected them again and a month later, came to my first appointment. Since we were doing extensions I had made a SECOND appointment which they never logged into their computer when I called the month before. I was LIVID because I had to leave town so no extensions and poor Veronica lost my service. I am so thankful Veronica left that salon. Those girls in the front are incompetent to the MAX!!! I followed Veronica to Leiden Mitchell. Sorry but hire girls that can actually do the job! It was the most frustrating thing ever. OH! And when I came to my second appointment and found out that they never scheduled it even after it was confirmed, they were completely rude to me. The idiots were completely rude! Never again will I come here. I love Veronica and followed her to a better salon!

OMG! Jody saved me from the awful growing out stage of my «2 decade old been every color pixie cut» — she added a few extensions that look fantastic! Everyone in this salon works together and all extremely friendly. Love the selection of high end luxury products which sell themselves. Kudos !!!

I’ve been going to Jody for something like 8 – 10 years. She does an awesome job, listens to my concerns and addresses them, not only cuts my hair but teaches me to style it myself, and she’s always entertaining. She’s great with cuts and color. There is no one I trust more with my hair than her. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Just had my first laser hair removal treatment with Carmen Marrow. She was amazing! Made feel feel comfortable, and eased my nerves. Cant wait for the next treatment!

Hair cut by Rafael. He is such a nice guy, im over the having bangs and growing them out. Its a very awkward process, Rafael listens to my needs and helpful with suggestions, he does such a great job and is very particular.
They are not pushers of products here, but do explain everything they use in there your hair and why, so you can buy anything you want without feeling pressured.

Have been coming to this salon ever since I moved to Arizona a year ago. Amber is my go-​to hair stylist and I can always count on her to advice me on a good haircut. For hair colour, Veronika is my girl! She always does a fabulous job of listening to me patiently and making the right suggestions. So long as they are here, I am never going to any other salon ever. With awesome customer service and a fun staff, scissor rox paper will never disappoint you.

I had never had laser hair removal before so didn’t know what to expect. I found Carmen at Scissors, Rox, Paper (because of her great reviews on Unilocal) who is a Certified Laser Instructor, Aesthetician, not to mention a Medical Assistant for a prominent plastic surgeon. She is wonderful! Carmen is quite knowledgeable and experienced, has a relaxed and unrushed presence and is fun also. She offers great deals to her clients and really should be charging more than she asks. Even though I have come to learn there is a small amount of discomfort involved in laser hair removal, I actually look forward to seeing her! Go see Carmen, you’ll love her!

Been here a couple of times. Veronica cut and styled my hair and she did great. All this done with no random disheartening «barber talk» that normally leaves people feeling like Hagrid on a bad hair day. Will come back!

If I could give this salon 0 stars I would! DONT GO HERE! This is the worst salon I’v ever been to in all my years of getting my hair done! First of all the inexperienced «stylist» didn’t highlight my hair the way I wanted (we even had a consultation a couple days before my appointment) She had 3 photos of what I wanted and when I asked her if she could lighten my extensions (that I paid $ 250 for) she said oh yeah of course I will…
Long story short she destroyed my extensions (because she asked me to come pick them up the next day. She claimed she didn’t have time to do them in my appointment), and threw them away without showing them to me. She said she was going to buy me new extensions… she bought the cheapest crap I’v ever seen and apparently she messed those one up too…
After being fed up of her ridiculous behavior I decided I need to talk to a manager. Of course, low and behold the Manager was more ridiculous than the «stylist». The manager tried blaming me and told me she wasn’t going to reimburse me for my extensions… After arguing at her station for a few minutes she said she would reimburse me $ 40. When I told her my extensions were $ 250 she said «I don’t know that» and I said, «Ill show you the website I got them from!» at that point I took the high horse and took the $ 40 to go towards my next set of extensions…
I went to ETCH salon in Kierland and my DAMAGED hair was finally fixed!
GO TO ETCH SALON!!! NOT SCISSOR ROX PAPER… the fact that they cant spell «Rock» correctly should have been the first sign for me…

I LOVE this salon and I LOVE Amber! She has been coloring my hair now almost 2 years. She is AMAZING at color. My hair is blonde and she gets it right every time! Also, I get tons of compliments! If you are looking for an amazing colorist, ask for Amber! She is awesome and so sweet!!!

An excellent salon with a friendly vibe. I have never had anyone try to sell me expensive products. My hair stylist, Jodi, will make recommendations only if I ask. She is very knowledgeable about the products and is an awesome stylist. Jodi also removed pink out of my daughters hair. That isn’t easy to do and she was very careful and did a great job. Hair color and cuts are very subjective but as I look around the salon, I am impressed by the colors and beautiful cuts that the stylist perform
The stylist at this salon are also always trying to improve their education. They often go to seminars and classes. Another big plus, is several of the stylist donate their time to charities like «Locks of Love.» I have a lot of respect for a business that tries to give back to the community.

Didn’t have the best experience, but the owner reached out to me to make it right.

I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new stylist. I live in the area and kept driving by. Gave it a shot and am so glad I did! I had a cut by Veronica, nothing complicated but you would be suprised how many times my hair has been butchered. I walked out with exactly what I wanted. I also am so glad they use bumble and bumble (my favorite) I cant wait to go back and get color done!

Disappointed in the customer service. I contacted the salon today about redeeming their offer for a complimentary haircut after one of the stylist gave me a mullet (cut off 8 in and ended up with a mullet). The owner told me the offer is no longer valid because it’s been more than 6 weeks since my haircut. I understand that it’s been over a year since my bad hair cut, but it has taken that long for my hair to grow out. I was not told the offer was only valid for 6 weeks or that they would continue to see me/​give complimentary cuts as it grew out. If that had been explained I would have made the appointment. I will not recommend this salon!

Jodi did an amazing job with my horrible hair. I’m shocked that it can look this good. Then, Sasha airbrushed my face. I’ve never had my makeup done before and she did a very nice job as well. The final stage was eyelash extensions by Cynthia! I feel glamorous now! They did a great job and I’ll be back the next time I’m in Arizona.
