I had the pleasure of taking part in the 1st annual Phoenix Scavenger Dash(2÷6÷10). This is an urban challenge/scavenger hunt taking place throughout the downtown and central Phoenix area. The race started and ended at Chase Field. To be consistent, my husband and I each took a shot to commemorate the start of the race and a few beers to soothe our aching muscles at the end. We were given 12 clues/challenges of which the objective was to complete all or as many as you could within the four hour window. It was a foot race with the sole exception being the ability to use the light rail and/or bus. Be careful though, as you may waste precious minutes waiting for the public transportation to arrive and take you to your destination. Better to wait or jog it? This was such a FUN event to participate in! We got to learn more about the various works of art/scupltures in the Phoenix area and visit local businesses I may not have visited otherwise. The reactions of the public were hilarious seeing the hoards of racers around town and screaming in frustration at failed challenges. We laughed and yelled(in irritation at slow partners) and had a blast. Excited for the next one!
