Specialties

For the last thirty six years it has been my goal to deliver a top quality product to my customers. In nineteen ninety five I started searching for a healthy alternative to cleaning fabric in toxic solvents. This quest was a direct result of my wife and daughter developing a sensitivity to strong chemicals. At that the the science of «Wet Cleaning» was still in it’s infancy. Today we have the ability to clean garments and household items without the use of cleaning fluid. We at «Sandy“s Magic Touch Cleaners» routinely clean more than 90% of what comes in our doors for dry cleaning by the «Wet Cleaning» method. There is no residual chemical odor in the garments because there is no solvent used in processing. Our customers have no problem with skin irritation from their clothing. Garments and bedding smell fresh, clean, and are soft to the touch. Colors are bnghter. Whites are whiter. People love the results. Our laundry department uses only cold water. No shrinkage.

History

Established in 1976.

This business was established in a western suburb of Chicago near O’hare airport. From 1976 through August of 1984 I grew that store in retail dry cleaning, laundry, and commercial servicing of other dry cleaners who did not do their own dry cleaning or laundry. I sold out to a childhood friend and moved my family to Arizona in September of 1984. I purchased a failing dry cleaning establishment on Scottsdale Rd. and Shea Blvd. and started building Sandy’ Magic Touch Cleaners of Arizona. This was a small store without the capacity to process laundry shirts. I was not satisfied with having an outside laundry process my shirts for me. In 1987 I opened my second location on 48th st. and Indian School Rd. in Arcadia. This store was twice the size of the first and gave me the ability to process my laundered shirts myself. In 2003 the third location at Frank Lloyd Wright & Thompson Peak Pkwy opened. The Scottsdale/Shea store was sold in 2005. FLP/Thompson Peak sold in 2007.
