My room mate and I had been apartment hunting all day and Ridgegate was our last stop. As soon as we pulled in I knew it would be nice. I loved the way it was tucked back and gated. They have music playing by the pool and front. The floor plans are very nice and I’m glad they have a plan available that gives my room mate and I equal living space. Super excited about calling this place home for at least a year!

This place is a great apartment complex for roommates. 2 master bedrooms! The bbq/​pool area has a tv out there so you have entertainment. Music plays through the complex. Very nice secluded apartments

Just recently renewed our lease! Absolutely love these apartments! Office and maintenance staff are very fast and friendly! Location is great, surrounded near shopping, restaurants and great schools.

After a few days of living here i decided i will move out as soon as my lease is up. I needed to urgently move into a complex and this was a last resort so i guess i shouldnt be that picky?. The main manager Gina is just plain rude any time you talk to her. Iv dealt with Allie (asst mang.) and shes pretty cool. Its loud, apt is right next to a middle school as well as a high school and not to mention the motorcycles.
Mufflers all day every day and night. Its not worth $ 920 a month thats for sure.

Ridge gate gets a star only for the fact that the neighbors are great. Before even touring the complex read all the reviews, and not recommended reviews. Every bad review is true, and as you read you will also see common facts about how common it is to have issues with management, dishwasher, and fees are with this money hungry hole of an apartment complex. My finance and I live in an «upgraded» apartment. Upon moving in we were so excited to be starting our family in an affordable two bedroom apartment near everything. Unfortunately two weeks after moving in everything changed. The water heater broke and flooded my apartment, an issue I was not told until getting home to find workers tearing everything up and putting giant fans everywhere. I was immediately worried about the construction being safe me and my unborn child. The management brushed off my concerns. It took an entire month before the construction was finished. The maintenance never cleaned up after themselves, left the apartment unlocked, and never left a note about being in the apartment. During that stressful time I actually miscarried in the first week of my second trimester. I truly believe that because of the stress, carpet crap being blown everywhere, and strange people in and out was too much on me and caused me to miscarry. I had to have surgery and actually lost a quart of blood during it. I had to stay at the hospital longer, miss work, pay more money, and it of course put us behind in bills. When speaking with the office they forgot I was even pregnant, had no sympathy to our situation and we became targets after my fiancé got upset with them for how they were treating us. They would try and fine us for any little thing, we forgot to take a bag of trash to the dumpster, that was hidden behind a bush by our door, to the dumpster and immediately had a notice. It wasn’t even there for 24hours. They stopped responding or fixing any maintenance request. We had water flooding into our kitchen from the AC unit for THREE months before getting fixed. There is always a pungent smell coming from the sink/​dishwasher. Dryer takes at least two sixty minutes cycles to actually dry. Bad patchwork everywhere! Floors are scuffed, ripped up, and are cheap. Landscapers blow all the debris into your patio. The fridge leaks and ice maker never worked. As we have gotten closer to the end of our lease everything has slowly started to fall apart. We both work when the office is open, when we are able to go in we are given answers like «A manager is not available» «We can’t help you». Not to mention EXTREMELY rude eye rolls, two faced employees, and cursing. One example is when I tried to get paperwork for my therapy dog and the main manager in the back office told me «I don’t have to give you shit.» The online pay system is untrustworthy! You can barely log on, you can’t trust that a payment will actually go through, and don’t get a gym card or they will just take that money as well!
I beg anyone interested in this apartment to stay clear!!! There are apartments just around the corner called The Retreat that is a thousand times better than this crap hole.
They have driven us into debt with their fees because they don’t take any responsibility for their bad management or system. They drove me to miscarry with how horrible the staff is and their unsafe living conditions. Be prepared to get a lawyer just to live here!

I DO NOT recommend living in this nightmare complex! Of course when you visit, they will tell you anything you want to hear just to get you to rent from them. My family moved into the complex and we originally wanted to stay put for a few years until the neighbor above us started exercising all hours of the night and let her kid play with pots and pans on a linoleum floor. Immediately upon move in, our air conditioner leaked and did NOT work properly, the floors were COVERED with scuff marks and discolorations and the dishwater was absolutely FILTHY. I took pictures and wrote everything down on the move-​in inspection of everything that was wrong with the place. During the year that we stayed here, we had to suffer through months of band practice because the complex is right next to a high school football field and the motorcycle school was on the other side, so YAY! Motorcycle noise! It was awful! Paper thin walls and students screaming at their broken motor bikes all over the complex.
Oh and it gets worse, the neighbor above us moved out and the management puts a new neighbor above us who wears HIGH HEELS and stomps around the floors ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT and not only that… they had been stowing drugs in the apartment because the police showed up and arrested them in the middle of the night! Way to give proper background checks management!
So after that, my husband and I were desperate to get out of there and we finally found a new place. I cleaned that apartment top to bottom and returned my gym key (which I gave a $ 50 deposit for). Everything was pristine compared to the dump hole it was before I moved in, except the dishwasher. I didn’t dare touch that thing because it was a dirty piece of junk that I made sure to mark down in the beginning. Move-​out inspector went through the apartment and checked everything, but he happens to notice a very minor red fade on the living room linoleum that was no bigger than a quarter and decides that we owe over 200 dollars to fix the floor. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They allowed us to move into a scummy apartment with discolorations EVERYWHERE on the floor and want me to pay for a minor red splotch?! That floor needed replacing long before we moved in!!! It was wear and tear! We lived there a year and wear and tear is bound to happen! So not only did they STEAL my $ 50 dollar deposit for the gym key to apply towards the replacement of the ENTIRE living room floor, they sent us a bill for more money! I have photos of that entire apartment and video of the walk through! PLUS a copy of the inspections! They are trying to tell us we damaged the place when we didn’t! I have proof and they STILL need to prove to me they actually replaced that floor! I don’t believe for a second they did because of all the ugly scratches and scuffs and discolorations we moved in with. That place is a SCAM and they will do whatever it takes to get your money! DO NOT LIVE HERE! The management couldn’t even give us the receipt for the floor replacement because they claim they didn’t have one! What does that tell you? They are liars and thieves! This problem has not been resolved yet and we are working to getting rid of all charges they are attempting to claim. If you currently live in this hell hole, seek out the Arizona Tenant Association because you will need them to get out of here unscathed as this complex is by far one of the worst!

Relocating for CA was stressful enough, but Jessica made my family’s transition so easy! Everything was done electronically and Jessica always made herself available for any questions I had. The location and amenities of the apartment are wonderful, friendly neighbors, great floor plans, I’m super satisfied! Thank you Ridgegate, thank you Jessica!

I currently reside in Ridgegate Apartments. Prior to the past few months I had no issues. The neighbors are loud and unruly. You have to pay your rent online. Normally, this is not an issue. However, In the past few months I have been charged extra fees due to the rent system issues. First month I was charged extra taxes and trash. When I called the office, I was told the automated system charged me, but they will credit it to me next month. I paid April 2015 rent on 03÷31÷15 through their online system. I had to submit the payment several times, because I kept getting an error stating I have a credit on my account and the payment I was making would give me an even larger credit. Finally, the system took the payment and said payment submitted successfully. Today I received a notice stating I did not pay April 2015 rent and a late fee was assessed. When I contacted the office to discuss the letter, I was told no payment was received and I have to pay the late fee. I asked could they check their system to see when I was last logged in and see that i did submit payment. I was told no because system is down and they don’t track activity on their site. Then I was also told, they can only go by what system says so I have to pay all fees including the late fee. I said I have been living here 1 year and 3 months and I have never been late or missed a payment. I have not given them any issues and this how they appreciate good tenants. I stated to them that i am not happy with the system and they will be loosing a good tenant. Since their system did not process my payment, I am not being held responsible. I paid all fees in full today online and miraculously they system is now working correctly. The office rep was nice, but unfortunately nothing was resolved.

I don’t know why the other guy had such a bad experience. The management has been really good. They actually fix stuff quickly when stuff breaks. So far (2 times) they have made it out the same day I called, within a couple hours.
The pool and public facilities are well maintained and the staff is friendly. Best apartment management I have ever experienced. And the gym is decent sized.
The only complaint I have is the internet in the clubhouse is sketchy and doesn’t work a lot of times.

When we first moved in to our «move in ready» apartment, we found out that our $ 870/​month got us thin walls, inconsiderate and noisy neighbors that have screaming kids that run around like a pack from Lord of the Flies, cracks in the sheet rock of the ceiling, torn up kitchen counter top, gouged linoleum floor, a big gap in the frame of the front door, loud motorcycles speeding to and from the motorcycle school across the street Monday through Friday at 6:30am, noon, 6pm, and 11:30pm, wake up calls a couple of times a week from people digging in the dumpster between 2 – 3 am, and a pretty badly leaking dishwasher that never seems to leak when maintenance comes to check it out but has caused a rotting smell coming from underneath the sink somewhere hidden between the cabinet and the floor.
The pool are isn’t too bad, the gym is pretty good and the people that work in the office have always been extremely nice.
I wish there was a review like this before we traveled 1300 miles to get here. I didn’t see Unilocal’s «Not Recommended Reviews» on the page just a little further down. Some pretty accurate statements!

**Updating my prior review**
There was a contest not long after we moved in originally that residents could win a prize if they left a review for the complex. I had no idea then how bad this place was until after living there for awhile. Read reviews carefully.
If you want a place to rent that’s somewhere you can come home and relax and have some peace and quiet, this is not the place. After being there for a year, we decided to move out. Terrible place! The walls are paper thin and you can hear anything either on the top or bottom unit. Children are allowed to run amok throughout the complex without supervision. We have had them throwing footballs at our doors, they race through the parking lots in front of cars driving through and scream for hours on end every day.
The units are run down and old. If you’re on the bottom floor, don’t expect any peace and quiet. You can hear everything that goes on, including anything going on in the bathroom, bedroom, etc and it sounds like a herd of elephants above you. The top floor is no different. We’ve heard people’s full conversations and cabinets closing in the units below us. You can hear things going on outside your units as if all the doors and windows are open, even when they are not.
The staff does not care. They are fine until you have an issue. If you do, don’t expect them to make much effort to resolve it. It is also next to the motorcycle institute and many of the students live in the community. That is fine other than when some of them decide to rev up the bikes at all hours of the night.
For the price and quality, you can find something way better.
