R. J. Ruff & Co. is a steel fabrication and processing plant that has been in the Valley since 1960. We specialize in custom-​made steel products.

We provide shearing, forming, rolling, welding, plasma-​cutting, and machine shop services for steel, stainless steel, or aluminum plate, angle, pipe, channel, and beam elements.

History

Established in 1960.

Originally established to provide millwright services to Arizona cattle ranches, R. J. Ruff & Co’s niche changed in the 1980s when we began to focus more on in-​house fabrication and less on field work. With the acquisition of higher-​capacity machinery, including press brakes capable of forming up to 1,000 tons and large-​scale plate rolls able to roll ¾″ thick, 12′ wide carbon steel, our primary (but certainly not only) client base comes from the lucrative mining industry in Arizona.

Business Owner

A long-​time resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronald Ruff is the President and Owner of R. J. Ruff & Co.

Educated in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, Ronald took over the company’s reins nearly 30 years ago from his father. Since then, he has assisted myriad industries in Arizona, including agriculture, ranching, mining, construction, government, and other fabricators, with their fabrication needs.
