My dad is a trucker and this was our first time going up to Oregon. We stopped at this Petro to shower and perhaps get something to eat. The showers were nice and big, plenty of hot water which is much needed in late January. The woman with the reddish-pink hair working the gift shop was friendly, ringing me up when I bought my Oregon coffee cup. It was raining outside and my dad was sick, and the lady working the Iron Skillet was kind enough to brew him a cup of hot tea for no charge. That alone deserves a couple of stars. The facility also has a nice little lounge to watch TV and unwind. Overall, just a short, but pleasant, experience.

Hands down my best over all Truck Stop experience in a long time. I spend most of my time north of here, so I haven’t been here in years and frankly didn’t have great memories of this place. Not negative, just«meh». I had a terrific day. First, a big round of applause for the Staff and Management. Everyone I encountered and observed was friendly, cheerful, helpful, and seemed like they actually wanted to be there. Excellent shower! I don’t know if they’re all identical, but Shower 4 was squeaky clean, generously sized, and well appointed. High praise to the gentleman attending the showers. Everything was so clean and tidy. The store is cozy and inviting. Wendy, who worked the store both days I was there, was very helpful, attentive, and informative. I had the breakfast buffet which offered yummy breakfast choices, plus a full salad and fruit bar — which I appreciated. I watched the Manager(?) scurrying around keeping things clean and the buffet stocked. Good job. And my server was a absolute joy. I wish I remembered your name. Also a shout out to the Site Manager(?) — tall young lady, red Polo, helped me return an item in the store. Thanks for your help and terrific disposition. Thank you all for making this such a pleasant experience. It’s nice to get off the truck and feel like someone gives a damn.

This is the Shell Gas Station to the left of the Petro Gas Station and in front of the Petro Shopping Center/Iron Skillet/The Cut Stop! Gas costs the exact same here as 76 all the time. Its $ 0.02 less at USA Gas at Albertsons but they close early! This is the closest gas station to me so I go here a lot! The people are always friendly! You get an occasional bum pan handling on the corner. No slurpee machine inside but they have a restroom. Food is pricey but same as any convenience store. It would be nice if the entrance was more convenient, especially coming from Home Depot and the neighborhood on the East side of I-5! But Phoenix will be improving the Exits soon in 2014, a huge million dollar projects that will be complete in 2015.
