History

Established in 2007.

With 10 years experience in the business, our passion is creating the best possible experience for our customers. We do this by combining only the best products and the lowest prices with experienced craftsmanship.

Our family owned and operated business has been part of the Phoenix automotive scene since the opening of Ed Smith’s Speed Shop in 1968. As the shop grew, it expanded into the field of automotive exhaust with the opening of Muffler Masters in 1996. Headed by Mark Smith, the shop quickly expanded to become one of the foremost exhaust shops in Glendale. In 2003, James Smith opened Pro Muffler in Peoria in order to handle the overwhelming demand for quality custom exhaust systems. After apprenticing at both Muffler Masters and Pro Muffler for 8 years, Russell Smith opened Performance Muffler in 2007, where he is currently the owner and manager of the shop.

Hi, my name is Russell Smith

I own and operate Performance Muffler in Phoenix, AZ. My family has an automotive history that dates back to 1959, when my father moved here from Ohio and began working for the local Dodge Dealership. I grew up around cars and love working on them.
