Paideia is a Greek term for the upbringing of the whole child. Paideia Academy assists parents in raising young men and women who are independent and critical thinkers, who are caring and concerned citizens, who are successful through college and career, and become successful husbands and fathers, wives and mothers.

Paideia Academy is a charter school that provides a rigorous and meaningful learning experience for its students through the Six Pillars of Paideia:

Paideia Academy provides a holistic educational experience by integrating the families and community into the learning environment. Paideia Family Center is located within the campus allowing parents, grandparents and others to receive support. Paideia also has Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts within the facility.

Paideia Academy is a unique charter school — the only one of its kind in Arizona.

History

Established in 2012.

Paideia Academy was founded by Dr. Brian Winsor and opened its doors to students on August 6th 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Brian W.

Business Owner

Dr. Brian Winsor, founder of Paideia Academies, has been an educator for the past 2 decades. He has a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in special education, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership. He was a junior high school teacher of students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. He has also been an elementary school principal consultant for schools on leadership, curriculum, instructional strategies, as well as academic and behavior intervention.

Dr. Winsor teaches many graduate level courses in administration and special education at the University of Phoenix ground campus. He is frequently sought after for instructional leadership coaching, teacher workshops, and presents at several national conferences and annually at the Arizona Charter School Association conference.
