Ontiveros Curb and Landscape

This company is amazing! I contacted Katrina to help my daughter’s school install some artificial turf. The school had a very small budget and with a lot of hard work and diligence, Katrina was able to provide the turf within our budget! They were wonderful to work with and the school now has an amazing space for the kids to play in. I am so grateful to have found this company! Many Many Thanks!

They are amazing. We hadn’t done anything in our back yard for almost two years. We hate yard work. The patio is attached to our back door but we could no longer reach our patio grill safely. There were multiple weeds that were over 6 feet tall. There was a dense undergrowth of 2 feet on average. It was overwhelming just to look at it. They came over to do an estimate, had it emailed to me the next day and were scheduled by the day after that. They charged half of the price of a previous yard clean up, and did a better job more quickly. And I had liked the last company’s results, they had just been busy. You can schedule everything online and everyone is friendly.

I highly NOT recommend this business for your landscaping needs as they can’t even get back to you, AT ALL to schedule anything! I had to make several calls to the girl, Joronda, that is suppose to be in charge of getting the estimates and setting up appts. As of right now, I’m STILL waiting to hear back from her about setting up an appt for their overpriced services… I texted and emailed her on Wednesday the 22^nd and it is now Friday night, the 24^th. In this time and age of widely used technology, there is NO excuse for not returning a potential customer’s texts, calls or emails. When it first happened, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, at first, and called her when she was suppose to have called me back. The first time turned into the second, third, fourth, etc, of waiting to hear back from Joronda.
I’ve been in the customer service industry for about 20 years and know what good customer service and good business is and this is NOT it. I was willing to give them my business and pay money for their services as I didn’t expect anything for free but I got tired of waiting to hear back from them so I called another Landscaping company, KO Landscaping. Not only did the person come ON TIME to look at my yard but he provided us with all the information we needed to make an informed decision. We were very happy with the consultation with KO Landscaping and especially with the estimate that is HALF of what Ontiveros Curb and Landscape quoted us, for the SAME services. And the work is set up to be done next Friday!

I called this company due to the good reviews on Unilocal.Unfortunately, those people must all be friends or relatives of the people who own the company. When I called the business phone number, I got a girl who answered «hello». No announcement of a business name or anything and you could tell she was on a cell phone out «running around» (not very professional). I wanted to get some curbing done and we agreed on a time for a Saturday at 3PM which she said was perfect since that’s the day they did their curbing work.
I was to decide on a curbing style and color and then call her back later in the day. When I called back she was unable to deliver the first 2 colors I asked for. We eventually agreed on my 3^rd choice and then I could hear her talking to a guy while I was on the phone with her.
She came back on the phone and wanted to change the time of the appointment. Since I had already scheduled other vendors to come to my rental I was unwilling. She then put the installer on the phone who again wanted to negotiate the time and move it to earlier in the day, citing it would be hot (duh this is AZ) and their would be a large gap between his last appointment and then mine. I explained my situation and said 3PM or nothing, and he said he couldn’t do it. I said fine i would find someone else.
He called me back shortly and said that his brother did the same type of work and that he could do the job and would deliver on the initial color I had asked for. I thought okay now we’re headed in the right direction.
When I went to my rental the following day to meet with the installers no one showed up and no one called. This is not a professional or well run company so I would stay away if you are looking for any work to be done by them.

Thank you so much! Was able to work with my hectic schedule to come to the house and replace anti-​siphon valve. Great communication, affordable quote and excellent repair. I will be quick to contact them if any future issues arise around the house.

In life you make a lot of mistakes… you take gambles on individuals to do a job correctly. A lot of times these companies do not live up to their expectations they just want a pay check.
Katrina and crew are the exceptions. Katrina and her husband are honest people who really do care about their work and untimely making you happy. I am happy we have a useful tool like Unilocal to apply people like them. If you do not call these people to work on your landscaping needs, then you are making a mistake. Thank you Katrina and crew for redoing my lawn and doing it correctly.

We loved working with Ontiveros Curb and Landscape! It is a great family business and they know what they are doing. We had additional grass put in along with curbing throughout the yard and I was amazed the quality of the work, how quickly/​efficiently they worked, and their very fair pricing. Katrina was friendly, knowledgeable, and has great input/​advice. We are about to use them for another back yard project!

Katrina was awesome! She was so helpful and listened to what we wanted. Great with attention to detail, affordable quotes and finished everything in a timely manner. She is very knowledgable on plants, trees and what would work best for our yard. I would highly recommend this company! Having issues with landscapers in the past that over charge and cut corners, I am happy to say that I have found a hard working and honest small business that really cares about people and the work they do. They will continue to maintain our landscaping for years to come.
