New Way Academy is Arizona’s only non-​profit, independent Kindergarten through grade twelve day school specializing in children with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, and language based learning differences.

New Way Academy provides grade level curriculum based on Arizona State Standards while intensively remediating areas of individual challenge. Student learning plans based on the results of comprehensive assessments and classroom performance address specific needs while building on strengths. Speech-​language therapy and occupational therapy are provided during the school day when needed. Art, physical education, and technology supplement the academic program.

History

Established in 1968.

New Way Academy has a long history of effectively and compassionately educating children with learning differences. We are proud to be the premier K-​12 independent day school approved by the Arizona Department of Education to serve students with language-​based learning differences. New Way proudly meets and exceeds state-​mandated standards and guidelines. We are committed to meeting the specific learning needs of our students and we teach the way each child learns. The school’s educational programs are individualized, comprehensive and multi-​disciplinary. Each student’s program is planned around his or her educational needs and abilities based on thorough academic, psychosocial, speech and language and motor skills assessments.

New Way’s 8:1 student to teacher ratio fosters specialized one-​on-​one and small group instruction, promoting a positive environment where students are inspired to achieve their academic and social goals.
