We are a mentoring organization for at-risk teens and children living in transitional housing. We are always looking for caring, adult volunteers who would like to share their skills and be a mentor. Please contact Christina Abu-Judom, Volunteer Manager, at cabu-judom@npfy.org for more information. Volunteer Introductions are typically held every Tuesday evening to learn more about our four unique programs. Registration is required. We look forward to hearing from you!

History

Established in 1987.

Greater Phoenix Youth at Risk was founded in 1987 and granted non-profit 501©(3) status in 1989. Founders envisioned a hands-on educational experience that would open the hearts and minds of troubled youth to a whole new realm of life possibilities. The original program began with a retreat designed to open youth to personal transformation. The founders understood that a continuing relationship with an adult mentor would help make the transformation «stick.» This philosophy still remains today, celebrating over 20 years of the New Pathways Program.
