I am Certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of Arizona, Board of Legal Specialization. History
Established in 1995.
I started practicing family law in 1995 out of a small office in a old office building in downtown Phoenix. I literally started with nothing. Since then, through hard work and constant effort, we have developed the expertise and competency required to effectively litigate complex family court cases. We have substantial experience in high conflict, protracted child custody disputes and cases involving complicated property and debt issues.
In 1998, I went into practice with a colleague I met in law school and we practiced together until 2002 when I returned to practicing law as a sole practitioner.
We have been conveniently located near the freeway in Ahwatukee since 2002.

I am a third generation Arizonan. My grandparents raised my parents in Globe, Arizona. My paternal grandfather was a rancher and miner for most of his life. My maternal grandfather was a miner for most of his life. Both of my parents grew up to be successful in their chosen fields (my father was an executive with the United States Postal Service and my mother was a Registered Nurse).
I attended high school in Tempe, Arizona. I have been a parent since I was a young man and was a single parent for most of the time I spent in college and law school. I also worked nearly full-time in addition to attending college and raising my son.
In 1992 I graduated from Arizona State University and entered law school the same year as one of the youngest students in my law school class. In 1995 I graduated from the Arizona State University College of Law. I was a Pedrick Scholar in law school, I worked in the Law School Clinic, and I clerked for a superior court judge and a large, national law firm.
