If I could give no stars I would. Dropped off my red purse and three pair of black shoes. Two pair of shoes needed the rubber on the heals replace, one pair just needed shoe glue for the soles and the purse needed strap fixed. The two women were very helpful but couldn’t give me an estimate for the work. I called almost two weeks later and a man answered. I asked if my items were ready and gave him my claim number. He put me on hold several times, I repeated numbers several times. He told me he had a red purse and asked if it was mine. I was on the phone at home. HELLO! Then he told me I needed to come look for my stuff. I don’t live close but I had no choice. Got there and he still couldn’t find my stuff. Finally found red purse hanging on the wall. Shoes were another story. He tried handing me 3 pair of black shoes that weren’t mine. I had him check ticket number because he wouldn’t believe me. He said numbers were close and was I sure? ??? Then he kept asking if I brought in black boots. No darn it Shoes! He asked if they were in a bag. Not when I brought them in but who knows now. He made me go behind counter and look for my shoes, still offering other people’s items to me. Eventually found shoes. Asked how much was told $ 70 line the ladies told me. No one told me anything. The one that mad me the most angry was $ 16.50 for the glued shoes. The heels were less. I refused to pay. He said«do you want them or not?» Yes I want my shoes. After telling him several times it was way over priced he reduced my sale to $ 50. I paid and left. My question is how many people does he do this to and is he shipping the items left behind to family and friends in Mexico? Here’s the kicker. Got in my car after leaving and knew I had to review this on Unilocal.I looked at a sign on their window that said«Come in and Browse… for what, your own damn shoes! ?!. Never will I return.

We came here on the recommendation of a local leathercraft store, Tandy Leather. My husband dropped off his cowboy boot on Friday for repair to the heel. He was told to pick it up on Monday. We drove down, but evidently due to the flooding in Phoenix, the owner couldn’t make it in. Not a big deal. Today, my husband went in to get his boot with the ticket the owner provided on Friday only to be told that they could not find his boot. These are not inexpensive boots! He was told by the owner to come back tomorrow when his daughter would be there. My husband is going to go back to try to retrieve his boot. If the boot still can not be located, he will ask for compensation. We are not happy and we will not be returning to this establishment after this situation is resolved.

I was there feb 2014 and charged $ 8 for a shoe shine. Returned last Saturday — daughters are super nice and friendly. Told me ready Monday but«dad» would be there. Fine. Show up and places my 1 pair of boots, ans 2 pair of sandals. He stares and says $ 30! I shockingly said«what?» He repeated it $ 30. And then I questioned and told him of my price charged last month – he said«that was last month». And reiterated«do you want them or not?!» I questioned his rates and lack of a price list, and he just said«you want them or not.» I was so annoyed and felt ripped off; I told him I would never return and that he didn’t give a s#%£! He took my $ and walked away. I WILLNEVERRETURN!

Walking into the store, I am greeted with a blank stare by the gentleman at the counter. I hand him my ticket and he takes out my shoes. Heels look good. Awesome. Then he says«$ 75 please». I am taken aback, but hey maybe this is the cost for this type of work. I see a sign that has all the major credit card pictures on it, so I hand him my AMEX. He moves his hand in the air in as if he is trying to wave off my credit card. «We can’t take that.» «Well the picture of it is right here…» «Can’t take it» «Ok well how about Discover?» «I can try.» He walks to his credit card machine, and swipes my Discover, looks at the machine, then my card, and then swipes again. «Sorry it won’t go. Have to get cash.» I ask for my card and ticket back and promptly leave with no intention of coming back. __________________________________________________________________ I gave this business two stars because they did do a service with good work, but the way the paying process went was atrocious. I have not decided if I will will return for the shoes.
