Come Ride with us! Here at Knot Quite A Ranch, lessons are geared toward teaching students all about horses, not just riding them. We want our program to prepare people with the knowledge necessary to someday own their own horse, if that’s their desire. Learn skills including grooming, warm-​up, exercise, mind function, competition, veterinary care, and so much more! We are currently gearing up for our summer semester, which includes many fun activites we cannot do in the colder weather! Business Owner

Sarah Van Setten Shepherd graduated in 2004 with an Associates in Equine Science from Scottsdale Community College. She has been teaching horsemanship lessons for eleven years. Sarah has barrel raced in and around Arizona for 15 years, competing with several horses in some very competative races. She has interned for several trainers prior to opening Knot Quite A Ranch to educate herself in different disciplines. She currently continues her education through clinics and lessons.
