Huston Environmental Services offers a variety of services primarily in two categories: Due diligence for the real estate industry and Compliance for Manufacturing/Industry. Huston Environmental Services offers a full list of environmental services to both business sectors. Services include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater sampling and testing, Storm water Pollution Prevention Plans, dust control training, underground storage tank (UST) investigations, water well and drywell investigations, and NEPA desktop reviews. Huston Environmental Services was founded in 2007 as a small, woman-owned business. Ms. Kellie Huston, CHMM, is the Principal Owner. Ms. Huston has more than 13 years experience working with real estate, manufacturing, and industry clients in the Phoenix area. Prior to that, Ms. Huston worked at the Department of Environmental and Emergency Management. Working for both the public and private sector, Ms. Huston is acknowledged as one of the top environmental due diligence assessors in the Phoenix area. Clients are from the banking, development, real estate, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Mr. Steve Sutherland, R.G. is the firms Arizona State Registered Geologist. Mr. Sutherland has 18 years of environmental experience. Mr. Sutherland has managed large public and private sector projects including Federal and State contaminated sites, as well as Brownfield cleanup. Mr. Sutherland has managed large commercial real estate portfolios for clients in the U.S. and Mexico.

Ms. Huston has a strong background involving regulatory compliance. She has performed a multitude of site inspections for compliance with environmental regulations such as RCRA, OSHA regulations, corporate health and safety policies, and compliance issues. Many reviews have been performed under a third party contract to ensure client confidentially. Ms. Huston’s regulatory experience includes stormwater pollution prevention plans, preparation and review of spill prevention control and countermeasure plans, hazardous material management plans and inventory statements, air permitting, and compliance auditing. Her experience comes from a variety of sources including underground storage tank operators, equipment, operating processes, and handling procedures. She has experience with SARA Title 313 reporting including emissions and Form A/R preparation. Ms. Huston participates in several environmental organizations; pubic speaking opportunities, and voluntaries in the local community.
