H&R Block

Do not go here! They do not handle privacy at all! And they rush you like crazy. If they don’t know an answer they expect you to know. Rediculous!

I have always had H&R Block do my taxes. While in Sacramento, the tax preparer made a mistake that resulted IN A BILL OF ALMOST 3,000 from the IRS. What can you do? H&R Block took no responsibility and was of no help, so I paid it back. When moving to Phoenix, I gave them another chance last year. The tax preparer made a mistake that tied my taxes up for months. I did not receive my refund until June. Not only that I paid over 400.00 in fees for 2 simple W2’s. Talk about OVER CHARGING. Of course, when the mistake was made, there was NO HELP. It took the office a month to even return my call to make the changes that were needed, to only result in the box showing that I had ID, which I had, was checked as no id. The entire thing was a NIGHTMARE. I was stupid to give them a second chance. First off, THEY CHARGE AND ARM AND A LEG, second, they just seem to not care what they are doing with your taxes and that is not ok. Since they are so well known and commonly used, they seem to not care about customer service or attention to detail. I am sure there are some good preparers that work that work for them somewhere, but it has been years since I have seem one.
