Great Spaces

We had three general contractors quote us for a house remodel & was referred to IKEA by a friend to save money to use on other projects. We were on a very tight time schedule and the other contractors were not confident they could complete the job. The people at IKEA were very helpful & after paying for the in home estimate we were referred to Great Spaces for that consult. The kitchen turned out amazing! Could not be happier. David was professional & helpful with ideas we never even imagined. Ron & Aaron were friendly ON TIME and could not be nicer. There were some wrong orders (by IKEA) & adjustments had to be made, but Ron took care of everything and had IKEA deliver it the same day. They finished the job with time to spare! We could not be happier with our new kitchen, bar, pony wall & hearth removals. I highly recommend Great Spaces… Pictures posted.

A one star rating is too much for this Great for Nothing so called remodeling company. I can’t believe that a company like Ikea does business through a no show, no install, unprofessional outfit. The lady that answers the phone is rude as ever and David never showed up or returned my calls. Save yourself time and money and avoid any business with these unreliable people that do not want to work or to help you with your project. I would not recommend Ikea kitchens as they are the company responsible for this initial referral. Shame on you Ikea!!! I will be returning all my cabinetry and pay for a real remodel. Consumers BEWARE!

I usually like to offer my own opinions but read what Stefani S. has to say — I can’t say it any better she hit the nail on the head. That lady who answers the phone is truly nasty — you do realize your working for me right?
Good luck staying in business there are contractors that will actually work with you and communicate with you.
Save yourself a lot if headache and give your money to those who deserve it.

I was a little hesitant to use these guys but I was promised they would do well. Our installer was Ron and he was excellent. He was professional and ON TIME which is amazing! They finished the job sooner then promised which was a big plus as well. There are a few things here and there that I’m not impressed with as far as installation but they are not that big of a deal really.
Trying to get a hold of someone is a little difficult though. But it’s understandable since it’s their busy season with the Ikea sale and all.
The guy that came to design for us was also very friendly. He was late but he called to let us know. Measurements were pretty accurate Ron only had to shift things a little bit when he got here but nothing crazy. Certain costs were a little too pricy but overall can’t complain too much.

We had plans drawn up in December for a kitchen by IKEA. This process went smoothly and I was incredibly satisfied. Fast forward to March/​April of this year: We buy our kitchen and it is delivered to our home and sits in the garage. After calling and emailing Great Spaces countless times with promises of return calls (once), the kitchen would still be in the garage, (today’s date is May 15^th) had it not been for me calling IKEA and asking for the name of another contractor, (I will review them next). Of the 4 people I was supposed to interact with at Great Spaces, I spoke with 3 and nothing was ever done to install the kitchen. Bottom line, I could not pay them to install our kitchen. They don’t return calls, they blame each other, and they essentially don’t want business.
I am happy to report that the setback put us together with an amazing contractor that I will be reviewing shortly and we could not be happier with the result. If you bought a kitchen from IKEA, read this and my other review and decide for yourself.

I cannot say enough good things about Great Spaces, their staff, and the sub-​contractors with whom they are affiliated. We contracted with them to bring our 1957 kitchen into the 21^st century and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. At every phase of the remodel we were consulted and included in the process. I have never met a more «can do» group of individuals. Every idea I had, or request I made, was achievable. Jim Attinger (Designer) and David Nickerson (Project Manager), willingly accepted my input and found ways to honor my requests. And although they may have suggested designs, colors and materials, my husband and I had ultimate say on the final design decisions — this was truly a collaborative effort. Every phone message, text or email I sent them was promptly responded to and deadlines were met. Additionally, Great Spaces stayed within the budget we had established for the project. Lastly, Great Spaces staff and subcontractors were pet-​friendly, making the remodel process that much easier on the family. Our dogs never had to be kenneled or locked in the yard while the crew was on the premises working.
It was a genuine pleasure having the Great Spaces crew in our home and we will be contacting their sub-​contractors for future home repair needs. A special shout out to David Nickerson for a JOB WELL DONE! He was truly EXCEPTIONAL overseeing the demolition and construction phases of the remodel. He has our sincerest thanks.
