Foothills Pet Resort

Waited till I went a few times before writing a review, my pup loves this place! He gets so happy when we pull in the parking lot! Everybody there is really nice, the tv’s in the lobby are a great idea so you can see your pet playing. Both Rogan (8 month old high energy Rottweiler pup) and I are very happy and would recommend this place if you’re looking for grooming and/​or dog sitting.

Hello. I just wanted to write a follow up because I think it is necessary.
it’s a few months we have been taking our little fur baby to the Foothills Pet Resort and we couldn’t be happier that they exist! They have helped him grow his socialization skills, and have helped make him into such a loving little puppy. He is not afraid of people, and not afraid of other dogs. now he’s still afraid of trucks and vacuums but the Pet Resort cannot help with that. hahaha!
Our little guy has been boarded with them in a Suite on several occasions, and they have him bathed and looking cute when we pick him up. He is so happy to see us and so happy when we drop him off for daycare. He LOVES Peggy to death and is always so comfortable around her. and the rest of the staff is always so sweet to him! I think the owners (JJ and Jimmy) have done an amazing job choosing such a wonderful staff. Kudos to them for making this a place dogs loves to go to.
We also get our puppy groomed here and they always make him look so cute and are very detailed in paying attention to what we want done to him. And he always looks fabulous when he is ready!
All in all, I felt I needed to write a follow up because this place has made a huge impression on me and my husband and has made life easier knowing our puppy is always left in capable and loving hands!

Our dog Tino loves going to the Foothills Pet resort. Staff is very friendly and wonderful to our pooch. Definitely recommend!

Just moved to the area and we found a GREAT groomer at Foothills Pet Center. Miss Peggy was pleasant in getting us set up and Kathy did a superb job on our Shitzu. We even took our English Bulldog in just to get his nails trimmed.
Fair pricing for the quality cut and we will be back.

I visited the facility and was greeted by a very kind and informative receptionist. I was looking for a place to take my dog during the hot AZ summer for play time with other dogs. I was interested in once a week day care. I was really pleased with the tour and the information I was provided. I tentatively set a day and time to come in for a trial. As I was getting ready to leave the receptionist answered the phone and was talking to a client about one of their groomers. She started explaining to the customer the groomer has had other complaints and started gossiping. I was completely disappointed on how unprofessional the woman/​employee acted. This is poor business practices and will not use this facility.

I love this place but more important my dog Milo loves it! I tell him he’s going to day care and he gets super excited and at the end of the day he is pooped out. The staff is so friendly and very personable. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

My 13 year old Husky, Juliet, was in good hands as always when spending time at Foothills Pet Resort! Clean, friendly, attentive, and the added bonus of having her bathed right before we picked her up! Wonderful to know she is well cared for in our absence.

Love this place! I always bring my little guy for daycare when I have a long day at work and I couldn’t be happier. He has so much fun playing with the other small dogs (they separate them by size and temperament) and the price is completely reasonable. The staff is all so friendly, and they all remember my dogs name whenever he comes in.

I get my little dog groomed here. They do a great job. She is clean and happy when I pick her up. She usually has on a really cute handkerchief. The people that work here are really friendly. I am going to take my new dog here to get groomed too. I might leave her while on vacation in a few weeks. I love that you can see the dogs playing in the back on a tv screen. The only reason that I didn’t five it 5 stars is because it is pretty expensive.

Updated: the owners mailed us a check refunding us completely for the grooming. However, the letter they included with it was still rude! Even if they believed that shaving my dog was a «miscommunication», they should accept responsibility and apologize. Instead, the owner said he did what he believed was best… without even calling first to check if it was ok. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. I will never return here, and I will continue to tell my friends to take their dogs elsewhere.
Final thought: It’s not worth the gamble to take your pup here when there are plenty of better groomers in the area.

Thought this was a good place. Took both of my dogs here and they both got kennel cough. I know I had to bring in my dogs shots records so not sure how this could happen. Just be careful and check and double check.

Fantastic kennel! I am so lucky to have found this wonderful group of people that care for my dogs! Rocky and Adrian are normally pretty skittish and shy, but they LOVE going for 2 – 3 day overnight trips… they are always SO happy when I pick them up!
Peggie, JJ and Jimmy actually KNOW my dogs — and that is comforting.
I literally drive across town to take my dogs here… and I would would not have it any other way.

Lucky to have these great folks in my neighborhood. You can book an appointment on line and have your pet expertly groomed. Reasonable prices and friendly, efficient service make this a favorite for myself and my Black Lab.

Paws down the best kennel I have boarded my dog at! I’ve left Max at various kennels while on vacation and he has never come home so happy as he did from the Foothill Per Resort. I could tell he was given a lot of attention and exercised enough since he wasn’t out of control and needy when I picked him up.
Some of the other places I’ve taken him (ex: Canine Country Club near the airport) have been a terrible experience for him and he’s come home a total wreck losing hair and seriously needy and anxious. Not this time! It’s worth a few extra bucks a night to know he’ll be as happy and loved and when he’s at home.

We have left our dog here over several vacations. They have dog suites and basic boarding. They allow social dogs to play together during the day, and then they go in their separate spots at night.
One time, we opted to have our dog shampooed before we picked him up. He broke out in a rash all over his skin for about a week and a half. He wasn’t complaining about it, so the vet said he was fine, but I won’t have that service done again. (would have given five stars, except for that issue.) Never had any issues with the boarding — just the grooming. I will take my dog here again.
