I absolutely love Doctor Fitzmaurice. He is very advanced in his field using the latest techniques with great results and quick recovery. I had carpel tunnel and tennis elbow surgery I have had great success with both surgeries he has a great bed side manner and wonderful caring staff. I highly recommend this Doctor

The absolute best in the West! Let me start by saying that before I came to the Fitzmaurice Hand Institute I had been seen by Arizona Pain Management Center, The CORE Institute, and the VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) for my hands. Physicians from all three clinics gave me the usual tests and told me I had a severe case of Carpal Tunnel +, and that my hands were in pretty bad shape. Additionally, all 3 had different courses of actions planned all leading to surgery; however, all 3 had different procedures on how they planned to do their surgery and I didn’t feel comfortable with any of them. The steroid shots they injected in my hands never lasted more than a few days to a week and my pain was getting worse. Instead of letting my Primary Care Physician give me a another referral to another hand specialist I decided to do my own homework. After spending literally hours online I came across the Fitzmaurice Hand Institute. After even more intense research on the Fitzmaurice Hand Institute I made an appointment. After meeting Dr. Fitz and his staff, I knew beyond any doubt that he was the one. This is no BS, I first met Dr. Fitz on 9 March 2015, it is now 30 March 2015, and Dr. Fitz has already done «his procedure» on both of my hands (about 2 weeks apart), and I can honestly say that the procedures were flawless, almost painless, and today I have no issues with pain, numbness, or the use of my hands and arms. Further, Dr. Fitz has recommended I take his NeuroGen, Nerve Support Supplements, which I feel not only definitely works, but coming from a background of taking vitamins and supplements all my life, I know they are working for me and not just on my hands either! Bottom line– I believe in Dr. Fitz so much that I now have my mother going to see him, and that is not something I take lightly. Here’s a little background on me, maybe you can get a feeling of just how much I used my hands and just how bad they were. I’m a 55 year old male who spent the first 25 years of my life (grade school, high school, and college+) either on the football field, wrestling mat, in a gym powerlifting, or doing some heavy labor type of work. After graduating college I decided to join the US Army where I spent the last 30 years on active duty as a Paratrooper and then in Special Operations. After over 300 airborne jumps, 8 combat tours, 55+ months in combat, a GSW and 2 IED blasts, I retired. Needless to say, my body, especially my hands, were literally trashed. Daily my hands and arms would just ache and burn, and at times I would lose feelings in my thumbs, then my fingers, and often times my complete hands and arms would go numb and it felt like pins and needles were being jabbed in them. It got to the point that my hands would wake me up in the middle of the night, they would also go numb while I was eating, and it got so bad that I could no longer hold a spoon or fork, they would just fall out of my hand. I could only hold my cell phone to my ear for a minute or 2 before my entire arm and hand would go numb and then I would have to switch hands only to change hands again and again. When I was driving I would have to change hands on the wheel because I could feel my hand starting to go numb just holding the steering wheel. I could go on and on, but I think you get the gist of it. In closing and in my opinion, Dr. Fitz is the epitome of what we look for not only in a physician, but what you expect from a specialist. His team, to include the surgery staff, is nothing less than total professionals that are knowledgeable, confident and caring. Seriously, do not waste your time, energy and money going anywhere else.

At the suggestion of Dr. Fitzmaurice, I bought a bottle of his NeuroGen to help with my R/​A related neuropathy in my feet. I was in so much pain, walking barefoot was not an option! Now all of my R/​A seems less painful and I am barefoot all the time. I recently had hip replacement surgery and because of NeuoGen I feel my recoup time was far less. I have even bought a bottle for a friend — that is how much I believe in how much it has helped me. I highly recommend this product.

I just realized my family must be really clumsy. I have been seeing Dr. Fitzmaurice, since I broke my wrist in 2011. I tripped at a friends house and landed kind of gracefully on my wrist. It was not my heels, as my husband thinks. I just didn’t notice the step, and I was not drunk, this happened at the beginning of the night. I still went out to dinner with out friends until I could barely hold my fork. Dr. Fitzmaurice saw me when he was working at another center. They took x-​rays and put a pretty tiffany blue cast on me. I later bedazzled it. Then a year later I close the door of my car on my thumb. Again I got an x-​ray but it was not broken, I was just going to loose the nail. Last week, my twins had a playdate at a friends house. We were hanging around the kitchen and didn’t notice that the kids were playing with the doors. Suddenly I heard a scream and I knew it was one of my kids. There was blood everywhere and my little boys finger was purple. Someone shut a heavy closet door on his little hand. I was trying to stay calm, but inside I was panicking. I called my husband to have him meet me at the ER. When I was en route he told me to just go to Dr. Fitzmaurice, that he was waiting for us. Thank goodness, because from the time he smashed his finger to getting an x-​ray it was less than 30 minutes. He has this state of the art x-​ray machine. My little boy was so comfortable following the instructions to lay his little hand on it to see his bones. He was fascinated by the screen, I was too, you could see the x-​ray in the screen in seconds. It was not broken, but he will probably loose the nail. I hope this does not happen again, but if any of my kids gets their fingers smashed again, I will come here instead of waiting hours in an ER.

Fantastic doc. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He did very «tiny’ surgery on my finger pinning a bone that had shattered. He’s very detailed, very personable, great office staff. This man is one of the best in his field. Its really worth watching his videos if you have issues like carpal tunnel, etc. He is state of the art in this field. Don’t risk going somewhere you won’t get the excellence this man provides.

I went to Dr. Fitzmaurice for trauma on my thumb nail. I needed to have a cyst removed. I decided to go with him because his office staff seemed professional and I had a good consultation.
Fast forward to post surgery. My nail is now deformed and he reassured me that it would not be. My thumb nail is now split. There was never any follow up calls. I was blamed for my thumb getting infected after surgery when my nail fell out of place. Which is understandable had I not called and asked what to do and was told by his assistant to place the nail back in. I regret ever going to this office. I have documented and photographed my nail post surgery because I knew the recover was abnormal.
Now I am getting the run around on a balance that is due back to me. I have called his office several times and they referred me to their billing company. Which in turn told me to call the dr office to receive my return.
It’s just been one big nightmare that won’t end! My husband is a physician and we have both never seen such unprofessionalism and are considering filing a complaint. I would give him negative stars if I could. I should’ve gone with my initial choice and waited the 3 month waiting list. There was a reason why!

Dr. Fitzmaurice saved my career. I really thought I was done till I found him. I lived with bad carpal tunnel for years. That non invasive surgery worked and I was back on the job in a week. I highly recommend Fitzmaurice Hand Institute… You don’t have to live with the pain…
