DeVry University Phoenix Campus

Let us be honest about what DeVry is and is not. DeVry is a fine school if you want to fiddle with some electronics, electronic test equipment, and want a «degree» to attach to your resume. DeVry is not a school that is going to get you some awesome job that allows you to greatly succeed in life.
Let me explain. Out of everyone that graduated with me most people went into the semiconductor field as maintenance technicians of some sort. We use little to no skills obtained at DeVry and the kicker is that you don’t even need a degree to be a maintenance technician at a semiconductor plant. This is exemplified by everyone you work with having no college degree… or a degree from DeVry.
So if that is the case, then why in the world would you go to DeVry and rack up a $ 50k tuition bill?
To make matters worse, DeVry touts themselves as a legitimate university with legitimate degrees. In the real world many businesses don’t consider degrees from DeVry (at least the BSEET degree I have) to be a legitimate engineering degree. Furthermore, graduate programs don’t consider it a legitimate degree either. For one to carry on to a MSEE at ASU, one will have to step back and take remedial classes to prove that you are at a caliber even worthy of entering a legitimate college program at a legitimate college. Sure, DeVry is accredited, but accreditation is entirely different than legitimacy.
This is my suggestion… if you have any inkling that you might want to continue your education, go to ASU and see if they will directly accept the DeVry degree without making you take remedial classes. If they don’t then DeVry might be a valid choice. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and just go to a school like ASU.
I wish that I had transferred to ASU in my junior year after I found out that the business community didn’t view my degree as legitimate as other schools.

Please notice that NONE of your CORE CLASSES transfer. The only things that transfer are your freshman math classes, physics, economics, English/​writing, public speaking, and electives.

I was ALMOST a student. fortunately I looked at the portal at orientation and realized the financing had been bait and switch. I’m going down Monday to get an explanation and my financial aid released. in the meantime, I’m looking for a school that won’t rip me off.

After attending Devry for about nine months, I ran into financial problems with Devry. This was a huge admin mess up that never should have happen. They were missing one of my transcripts from another school and didn’t inform me until I realized that I had a debt on the student portal.
After calling the VA to check to see if I had a debt to the VA, I was informed that no submissions were made for over six months. After getting my transcripts to them it took them two weeks to update the student portal, and three months to get them to submit past entries. I called the Phoenix campus to resolve the problem but was meant with people who didn’t know what they were doing. I had to call the Metro campus to resolve the issue.
Also their Chicago office kept calling me to collect on the debt and they also started tagging fees onto the account because a payment plan wasn’t set up. Not realizing that I am a vet.
In the end everything was taken care of because I had to call them every week. Props to the VA rep at the Metro campus. Phoenix campus was a joke in their admin. I have left Devry and will not recommend this school to anyone due to simple admin mistakes that training could have prevented. Their instructors are good though.

Was at this campus for a LinkedIn event. It was adequate. Building is dated and has that feel. Computer lab was fine but somewhat confining. The event itself was great though!

I’ve been going here for over a year now and I’m kind of torn on the quality of service you get from the campus and staff. The classes have been ok so far, but don’t waste your time taking a math class on campus. Being stuck in a room with 5 other math classes and then having to just sit at a computer and do the same work you get to do at home is a bunch of crap if you ask me.
When I first said I was interested in coming here I couldn’t get the school to stop calling me. Now that I’m enrolled it’s like pulling teeth for anyone to ever call you back if you call with an issue. It takes a minimum of at least 3 or 4 days to get a response to any message left and that’s IF they call you back at all.
Some of the requirements in the classes are completely ridiculous and completely archaic. When will schools realize it’s not 1950 anymore and the need for certain «core» classes is just not needed anymore.
I’m in this for the long haul so I’m pretty much stuck. At least it’s not Itt tech

I’m writing this review as a former student. I say former because I transferred schools. I’ll start from the beginning. When I first admitted there and started classes everything was wonderful. They all seemed to care and the success coaches and finance coaches are wonderful. After a year though, that seemed to change. The teachers are very rude and seem very stuck up. I only had three good teachers out of 7 or 8. Most of all, this past year I had plenty of health problems and always stayed in contact with my teachers and my success coach. However, regardless of all of the paperwork I turned in and how much I cooperated, it didn’t mean a lick because my dean told me to go somewhere else. So here I am now, transferred to GCU and I would NEVER go back to DeVry again.

The library is amazing and the librarian assistants are amazing at what they do and have excellent customer service. The library is my favorite place to be on campus with quiet rooms and free printing!
