Darrel’s Locating

So, My water bill doubled over a month and I couldn’t find a leak. So spoke to RT Plumbing initially and explained I needed to find a leak and it was under my slab. They came out and had my uncle meet them as I was at work. They, checked everything I did and charged me $ 100 to tell me they don’t have the equipment to locate the leak and gave my uncle’s Darrels number who called them (as I wouldn’t have as I viewed it as being taken advantage of by first guy I wouldn’t trust anyone he had recommended).
Darrels came out (again while my uncle was there) and told my uncle it was the cold water line under the cabinets in my kitchen. My uncle not knowing any better, paid and they left. Obviously I wasn’t going to call RT as they didn’t do what I asked the first time, so I contacted one of the plumbers at work to come out and give me an estimate since I knew he owned his own company as well.
He explained Darrells SHOULD have taped the wall where the line as there were at LEAST 3 Cold Water Lines in the area he identified, and SHOULD have explained to which area of the house that line fed due to my block construction it would be more efficient to repipe, than to fix the leak due to the location. He Explained the job the locator did was only half done and if they could identify which line and to which part of the house it goes he’d come out and give me an estimate.
So I called Darrels, left a message explaining my concern of needing the specific line identified… Nothing. Left a message again… Nothing.
Simply, if you want a job half done and someone not willing to take calls nor stand behind their work. Call Darrel’s Locating.

I finally progressed to excavation the sewer line and placing the new line to the side of the house.
Dennis stated that the line was 6.5 feet below his mark. The line was exactly where he said it would be, within 6 inches in depth. Thanks Dennis

I had an issue w/​a blockage in my home. I had another service provider come out the day before to fix the issue and $ 325 later, I still had a blockage. After quoting me one price to camera my line, they then said it would be 4 TIMES that amount to camera after trying to rooter my lines.
I called Darrel’s to come camera my line. Showed up towards the end of the window (why they didn’t get 5 stars), BUT they found the blockages, rootered them, and solved the blockage issue. Wish I called them first… would have saved me my initial $ 325 I paid someone else.

Contacted Darrel’s locating to locate a water leak that was found on a commercial property in Tempe that I handle.
Darrel arrived removed his equipment and said he located the leak under the concrete slab where the driveway met the garage. I also had him mark the water supply line from the city water service to the house so we could identify where we had to make access to the leak and what concrete we would have to remove.
We demo’d the driveway to get to the leak that was identified by Darrel.
Well the leak wasn’t there and the supply lines weren’t even close to the lines he marked. We found the leak on our own and it was BEFORE it entered under the driveway.
$ 1400 worth of concrete work and a days extra digging because this man rushed through the job a missed the leak by over 10 feet.
I called him to ask what his policy is regarding such a major error and he replies, «Well we can come out and try again other than that its just a missed detection and it happens». Excuse me Darrel we already found the leak on our own AFTER digging up a driveway where you said it was. I don’t need that kind of help. A repair that could have cost a few hundred to fix turned into a few thousand thank to Darrel’s leak detection or in this case, Darrel’s I don’t have a clue
