BEWARE– DO NOT USE DANIEL’S MOVING AND STORAGE!
Movers majorly broke sturdy items (leg completely broken off wood end table; gouged and bent metal book case) and they damaged delicate items (chipped an expensive irreplaceable art sculpture that was listed on their high value inventory)!
They were careless and disrespectful in packing, moving and delivering our belongings (even throwing leather sofa cushions down a flight of stairs and stomping all over our Persian rug with their dirty boots and piling boxes and chairs on the rug).
Vicky Selby, the insurance claims adjuster, threatened and bullied us in her correspondence in response to our damage claims. Despite providing the receipt for the sculpture THEY damaged, Selby offered a pittance and alleged that they could keep the sculpture– a piece of art that was handmade to order for us by a prominent artist and NO longer made by him– making it irreplaceable.
The owner gave us lip service stating they strive for perfection but refused to take responsibility and made excuses for his movers’ botched services.
USE A DIFFERENT MOVING COMPANY!

I was given the task of contacting Daniels for a quote on an upcoming move for our office. I wasn’t given a number to call so of course I Google the company by name. First thing I notice is their one star Unilocal review that’s after their website listing. I read through quite a bit of horrible reviews, come to think of it I don’t recall seeing any good ones. I contacted my coworker who asked I call them to see if she had used them before. She said she had, twice. So I went ahead and called as she had nothing negative to say giving them the benefit of the doubt. I was connected to a gentleman for a quote who quickly returned my call only to tell me he would pass on my info to another gentleman that handles commercial quotes. Mr. Dan Lynch then contacted me and we made arrangements for him to come by the office for a walk through the next day between 12 and 1pm.
Next day comes, and noon rolls around, then 12:30 rolls around, then 1 rolls around… no Dan. I had previously decided to wait to eat lunch until after our walk through as I didn’t want to miss his arrival. Well, now I’m starving and haven’t heard a word from the guy. I know people sometimes have a hard time finding our office so I’m expecting a call at any moment for directions. No call. No call to say I’m lost and no call to say I’m running late. Shortly after 4:30pm, 3 and a half hours after our scheduled meeting time, this freakin guys strolls in the door like his shit don’t stink. He announces his name and the company he’s with and my coworker says «oh we were expecting you several hours ago». He nonchalantly says he got held up, and goes on to ask if we mind if he takes a quick walk around. Not even an apology. And ummm held up? For 3 and a half hours? Was there a bank robbery going on today I didn’t hear about? Did they demand your phone so you couldn’t call to let us know you would be late? Seriously Dan, I gave up on you by 2pm. Go ahead and put your quote together and email it over. I’ll be sure to put it right in the trash file. Have some appreciation for your potential customers time. You made it very clear you have no interest in gaining our business. All these other reviews were a major red flag. I should’ve gone with my gut on this one. Way to represent your company’s name buddy! Totally had the chance to prove people wrong and you failed miserably!
5/27/16…Still haven’t received the quote. Shocker.

I guess one star is as generous as I can be. This was an interstate move and thus, sent out to another company. Sadly, broken and damaged goods, many not even reported by the team even though they were damaged during the move. Difficult to get claims reimbursed — as in 5+ months. And worst of all, empty prescription drug bottles arriving when we finally unpacked. Do your research and look for other options. My company has also switched vendors.

What can I say? After dealing with Daniels Moving and Storage twice I can state with complete honesty they are the worst run company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! If I could rate them with ZERO stars I would. We had them move us into their storage faciltiy early 2015 from the 33^rd floor condo in Phoenix. They told us they had handled moves from our building on «many occasions». When they showed up late with a truck that did not fit into our buildings dock I should have gotten suspicious. They left an came back 2 hours later with a smaller truck that also did not fit and smaller crew. {3 movers for a 2800 foot condo} So since the truck did not fit one of the movers had to remain at the truck {which was ridiculous} because they «forgot to bring a lock». So we paid for one of the crew to smoke cigarettes and guard the truck! We called management and vehemently complained about staffing. They assured us it would be addressed. It was never addressed so at 10PM that evening short staffed they were still loading our belongs. They ended up leaving the entire kitchen materials untouched so the next day I packed it myself and took it to our new storage unit. Oh I forgot they were also supposed to empty our storage unit down the street but had to come back the next day to pick it up! Only problem was they could not find the storage unit {largest U-​haul storage facility in downtown Phoenix} and made me wait 2 hours for their arrival! The «our GPS was broken» excuse was given me! Seriously?
So now it was time to receive our belongings back from Daniels Moving and Storage. When it arrived in the wooden vaults the crew on several occasions remarked how «poorly our furniture was packed in the vaults». Well they were right as fine furniture was packed in with metal outdoor furniture and furniture with CLEAR signs stating «Do not stack on ends.» — WERE STACKED ON END! Many pieces were without blankets piled in vaults.
As they unpacked we pointed out damage and it was noted. 80% of our furniture was less than 6 months old and was pristine in condition. Sadly it no longer is. There are gouges and finish chips in almost every piece they handled and stored.
The final straw came when the foreman attempted to assemble our dining room table without the proper parts which we argued were in a «parts box» that they needed to find. I left to run an errand and when I returned he told me he had «fixed the dining room table and they were ready to leave». I took his word for it and they left. Later that evening I was arranging the furniture and bumped the dining room table and it moved off the base! This is a couple of hundred pound top that he had just set on top of the pedestal that he had jerry rigged with incorrect mounting hardware and left. Can you imagine if one of our relatives children had pulled this top on to them? By the way we discovered the plainly marked «Parts Box» which was in a Daniels Moving and Storage box!!! This was a malicious and calculated misdeed on this companies crew. After hearing from us they sent two crew members to confirm that the table was:
A. Left in a dangerous condition. This was a reprehensible act by Daniels Moving and Storages crew supervisor.
B. That the table would have to be repaired professionally because of the damage done to the inner bolt assemblies by the crew supervisor. They also used parts in the found «parts box» to reassemble some other furniture that was also missing the correct parts.
After many «runaround» conversations with different management employees and filling out required claim paper work we were notified their insurance adjuster would come survey all the damages to our furniture. He came and assured us that the repairs would be completed professionally and in the case of two seriously damaged pieces that they «would be replaced». He asked for and we provided the original invoices for the furniture pieces to be replaced. We never heard back from him and after several attempts to contact him I assumed that it was the end of the year and we would hear back after the holidays. I was dead wrong…
This week I received a letter from Vicky Selby «Client Services Manager» from Daniels Moving and Storage. In a terse and boiler plate letter she informed me we would be getting $ 417.00 to «finalize our claim». What happened to the insurance adjusters promises? What happened to common courtesy and customer service? What happened to the repair to our dining room table that the Daniels crew jerry rigged and left in a dangerous non installed condition? This letter is an outrageous and callous treatment of a client that was grossly miss-​communicated with and serviced by all employees/​management of Daniels Moving and Storage.
Daniels Moving and Storage management and employees should be embarrassed by the way they treated us and we would NEVER — EVER recommend them for your moving and storage requirements.
Disgusted.

if I could give 0 stars I would! They are the company my husband’s employer contracted for the over 85 relocations. They said they would cut us a 65% off deal. Had an in home estimate, was quoted 5500 dollars for a modest 3 bedroom home which included the 65% discount! That works out to about $ 15,700!!! I was quoted from other companies, and my quotes ranged from 4700 – 5300 with NO DISCOUNTS! They upped their cost so our so called discount would be invalid! They knowingly tried to take advantage of us. I have since, tried calling 3 times to cancel our move with absolutely no luck.
I will be also reporting them to the BBB!

I scheduled a local morning move, and so indicated when booked and completed their contract. This was a local move, only two pieces of furniture with two stops. First stop 4 miles away, second stop another 15 miles up the road.
A Morning pickup was imperative as the second stop involved a home owner that was catching a flight out of town.
I never heard from dispatch the day before or the morning of move, which was unsettling. These are the facts that occurred the morning of the move:
8:00 I called dispatch was told I was scheduled for 8:00 am but truck had «mechanical issues» and they would now arrive between 9 – 9:30am.
10:00 I called dispatch, was told truck had left the warehouse would be there in 15 minutes.
10:45. I called again, got their voice mail & left pleading message.
11:00 called again was told truck should be here soon, it was definitely on its way…
11:15 driver called he said he was about 30 minutes away.
12:00 truck arrived.
12:55 move completed (one stop, one piece of furniture)
Second stop on the move had to be abandoned as we had run out of time. So, one piece of furniture was driven 4 miles down the road… cost over $ 300.
These folks are totally indifferent, apparently unable to dial a phone or tell time and are certainly not capable of uttering the words «we’re sorry».

Worst moving company of all time damaged just about everything never use them!

The three stars is generous. We had a huge move with a semi and a half from N Scottsdale to Phoenix. Very nice heavy furniture! They were late, slow, and we’re hard on things. They did not bring enough help either so the move took from 9am until midnight. The supervisor was amazing. I would not use them again.

I had a pretty bad experience with Daniels Moving & Storage. The movers were great, but the representatives at Daniels were not so as I moved across the country. What I thought would be a typical 7 to 10 day move with 15 days being the worse case scenario turned into a 25 day wait. In addition, there was no communication with the representative as to the estimated date of delivery. My household goods ended up being left in their warehouse for over 2 weeks prior to being loading on to a truck for transport. No major damages were noted, but very minor things were missing in which I had to out of pocket the costs for replacement. When I filed my claim, the representative mentioned to me that I just couldn’t assemble it myself? I’m pretty disappointed and would not recommend this company for a move. Fortunately, my stuff came in good condition, but the customer service and communication was awful. I like now how I’m pretty much doing the movers job by having to reassemble my furniture due to missing pieces. Hopefully, they will reimburse me, but I’m not counting on it. I guess lesson learned for my next move.

I would give them zero stars if it was possible. We have moved cross country multiple times and have never had such a bad experience. If you plan on making a large claim with this company, you might as well forget about it because they aren’t going to take responsibility for what they damage. They broke a reclining chair that worked perfectly fine before they picked it up. We filed a claim and the company sent us a letter saying that unless we could provide photo evidence that they broke the recliner, they were not responsible and they were closing my claim. I was told that it would be around $ 800 to fix the chair and I refuse to pay that out of my pocket. I have tried contacting them and they ignor emails. I was also told at the time of delivery that when they moved my belongings from one truck to the other, they opened the doors and were overwhelmed with the smell of propane. The guys left the tank in the grill and it emptied completely in the truck. The mover said it is a good thing there was not a fire. This was such a horrible experience and I would steer clear from this company.

My two cabinets and couch that are vintage were ruined in storage. This was made evident when the movers returned my office furniture. The movers showed me the damage before it was moved from their storage pod. Then, they offer me $ 90.00 to settle the matter and had an erroneous contract to try and minimize my claim. I informed them that the furniture they damaged was vintage and literally irreplaceable. I will never use them again and considering how I was treated after they made mistake after mistake, would never recommend them to anyone.
