Established in 1981.

Originally named Independent Honda Care, then forced to changed to Independent Import Care until mechanics started their own partnership in June of 2010.

Well deserving of all the great reviews! My 2007 Accord had an issue that the dealer diagnosed but wasn’t covered under warranty. I haven’t owned a Honda before so I wanted to find a shop that specialized in them. Based solely on reviews I decided to try D & W. I’m very glad I did! They were extremely accommodating to my schedule and got me in last minute. In addition, they told me that the repairs that were necessary would have to be redone when it was time to do my timing belt so they recommended that I not waste the money just to spend it again. They assured me the issue wouldn’t cause any problems until the time we did the timing belt job. Unbelievable — a mechanic that actually tells the truth, has the customers best interest in mind, and gives great advice. They didn’t even charge me for the inspection. BRING YOUR HONDA HERE! Thanks guys!

The Acura dealer wanted to charge a lot of money for what seemed like a simple repair and I knew that couldn’t be right. D&W fixed it for just a fraction of that amount, and not only that, looked the car over before a long trip and helped out just for being a customer. Anytime the Acura needs anything, D & W will get my business!

The knowledge and level of service at D&W Is off the charts! They always service my Honda with excellence and strive to provide me with the best deal possible. No matter how knowledgable you are about your Honda, the mechanics will explain to you the problem and solution as simply as possible. They also sometimes have snacks to share for your while you wait — and free wifi!

My car broke down about half a mile down the road when I was visiting in town and we had to push the car all the way to this auto repair shop and they helped us with everything! Bill knew everything that was wrong with it! He fixed my my car in almost a half hour and it ran as new. I couldn’t believe it. Highly recommend.

There is not a 6 star option for rating. If you own an Acura or Honda, there is no other place in the greater-​Phoenix area to go. Justin and the guys are incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and I am surprised at their high level of customer service and attention to detail. Did I mention fast service?

Just got a late model Honda CR-​V so of course I checked on Unilocal to find the most recommended repair shop to do a thorough service and find out about any issues. From the reviews D & W looked very solid so I took my vehicle there and was very pleased with their thoroughness. They were open and up front about the issues with the car and offered expert practical solutions. I’m very glad I went there and will continue to use them for all services and oil changes with this car. I figure I’m getting better than dealer service from them for much less than dealer prices.

A dedicated honda/​acura repair house is hard to find. Justin and the guys are always able to get my car in for a quick service, even when the schedule is hectic. Had some larger repair work done here as well (A/​C repair) ended up several hundred dollars cheaper than the dealership.
I was really convinced after calling several repair shops that all said it sounded like my timing belt was bad. This was the only shop that actually knew that my car had a TIMING CHAIN, not a timing belt (very different).

Once again I am so happy with D & W Auto Service! These guys are honest and reasonable. I have been sitting while I wait for my car and listening to them tell people that they DON’T need work done that other, less honest, mechanics told them needed doing. I came in once before convinced that my car’s brakes needed replacing. They could have charged me for that but they assured me that it wasn’t necessary. I will be looking for a new car soon and it will have to be a Honda so that I can bring it here.

If I had to pick one brick and mortar establishment in the entire Phoenix metro area, regardless of the service provided therein, to recommend to others with absolutely no worries, this shop would be it. They are that good. I’ve sent more business to D&W than I can remember in the last 22 years that my family has been using them.
Because of D&W, I have exclusively bought Acuras since I first got my driver license.
They are that good.
These guys will tell you like it is with no bullsh*t. They’ll even tell you when it’s time to get rid of your car. If you own a Honda or Acura and live within 50 miles of D&W, there’s literally no excuse to not use them. Don’t blame me when some other shop screws up your Honda/​Acura and overcharges you.
Death, taxes and D&W — those are my only sure bets in life. I don’t know what more to say.

D&W was referred to me by a friend and they have lived up to her raving reviews. I have come into D&W for some issues that I couldn’t myself diagnose. Being a woman bringing in a car for service is a somewhat tentative thing… one has to be careful about this. But they took good care of me. Both times the thing that was wrong was not expensive. I’m sure, if they were unscrupulous, they could have jacked up the price or feigned some fault without me knowing it for sure. But they didn’t. I’m delighted with them and their honesty in service. I highly recommend them for your repairs. They go above and beyond and have even dropped me off at my home to help. Just a great shop in my estimation. Thanks D&W for your help! I hope that this review helps bring in more work.

These guys are AWESOME! Acura told me that to repair my headlight it would be $ 1170. They took it apart and said the igniter and power supply were bad. I called BS on this. Then I brought my car here — they quoted me $ 700 for the same repair. Then they took it apart just like Acura did and low and behold it was the LIGHT BULB. Now due to a poor Acura design they had to take the bumper off to repair but total cost out the door $ 380.
An HONEST MECHANIC. Imagine that!!!

A bit late to review, but I came in awhile back to get some work done, really friendly. I had a rattle in my window and they fixed it free using silicone spray. I was about to replace the whole regulator and everything, but not anymore. Def. recommend this place.
