Coco Bahnai

Lets be frank here: Jefe and cakes do not mix. Not at all. Cakes look at me and I turn my back defiantly… EXCEPT when it comes to Coco Bahnai’s cakes. At my workplace here in Phoenix, Brittani the owner and cake artist brings periodically in numerous concoctions. I am on a strict diet, but go off the diet only for her luscious treats. Her ability to manipulate dough and fondant into edible works of art is impressive. But whats more impressive is the consistency. Whether its a homemade cupcake (look at pictures) or a hand prepared cake made to order, Brittani knows what she is doing.
The most luxurious of Brittani’s concoctions is her trademark Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting. The kicker: Once again, its made from scratch folks… and you can notice instantly. Wedged in between soft morsels of cake are sweet satiny deposits of cream cheese frosting. Not too bitter, not too sweet, her consistency is just right on the frosting. The cake is an absolute masterpiece in my eyes, and I have had red velvet a number of times. The moistness of the cake and the balanced flavoring is the true key in the recipe.
Besides that killer cake she provides cupcakes, perfect for a party or get-​together. Whenever a potluck comes up with our team of 12 personnel, you best believe 12 heaping cupcakes will be ready to be eaten. Same deal as the cakes: made from scratch, extremely tasty. She never skimps on the details, and if needed she can easily craft up a fun and exciting design for your cupcakes.
Why write up a review… because we work together? No. I am lucky enough to have had at least five separate occaisions to try and enjoy her desserts, and each time I was left wanting more. Honestly I never get that way with desserts… its just too much. But knowing the time, effort, and thought put into the cakes she makes, Brittani is sure to kill it if you inquire. This is as true of an upstart as possible folks, so I suggest you give her a try. Order a few cupcakes and you will see how dense and gooey they are. If you are a smarty pants, then you will take up my suggestion of getting a custom made cake like the Red Velvet, and your mouth will sing with joy.
