My daughter used to love this carousel as a small child, and while we haven’t written in a while, we just absolutely love the idea of having an authentic carousel at the mall for our convenience. We love it we love it we love it oh yeah baby.

While the Coca Cola Carousel at Paradise Valley Mall doesn’t have quite the age of some other truly vintage carousels, it has a vintage feel and is home to a fun variety of animals. Feel like riding a frog? It’s your lucky day! Located conveniently off of the mall food court, the carousel is enclosed and air conditioned. At $ 2 a ride, it is a little pricey if you are planning repeat rides with multiple kids. Actually very reasonable, but you might think it would be less given a corporate sponsor and a mall location designed to keep you shopping. They use a token system, $ 1 each or six for $ 5, dispensed by machine, with two tokens required for each ride. Adults who tag along for the safety of young riders, ride free. If the token machine is out of order, as it was on our recent visit, everyone rides free! The carousel is a product of the Fabricon Carousel Company, Brooklyn, NY, a company that offers authentic recreations with design features taken from historic carousels. You’ll feel like you’re riding on a classic, but without the risk of splinters in your, ahem. You get the idea.
