Chapman BMW on Camelback

Today, I went to do my last piece of research before finally deciding which car to pick up, for several years I had my eyes on the 5 series. Having being there before to buy my wife’s X1, I communicated and went back to see Robert Mills. Robert immediately pick up on my level of excitement when I saw an M235i they had on their showroom. I decided to take that one for a test drive and my plan was to drive something fun, get it out of the system before moving towards what I actually went there for, a 535i. Little did I know, that was probably one the most memorable drives in my life! I still took the 535i and even a 335i. After everything was set and done I took home a beautiful 2015 M235i. Robert made everything possible, he not only have a keen eye and observes his clients well enough to see their reactions and read what they actually like or don’t like during their test drives; but also is completely open to work with you in whatever you might need or would like to see. He’s also extremely knowledgable about BMWs so if you’re new to BMWs he is your guy.
I personally hate buying cars, I love having a new car, but hate the buying process; with Robert I was able to get everything started through email and that probably saved a few hours of seating around the dealership. Once we got to the negotiating part he worked with me and got me a price I couldn’t refused. I was ready to head back home to Tucson and come back a different day with a little more time but he was able to get me the price that I thought he would not be able to get. And he even got me some extra stuff… but I won’t mentioned those, he would get angry with me if people start showing up asking for the same goodies!
We actually drive from Tucson to work with Robert, he is that kind of salesman! No pressure, no games, real honest guy. Like I said, two cars out of Chapman BMW; both really pleasant experiences. Go see Robert… now be careful, you might find yourself driving away a BMW!

After having laughably awful experiences as a female car shopping alone at other dealerships, I was thrilled to be treated like a normal human being (with respect and courtesy) at Chapman Camelback. Joe Lena worked with me to find just the right car at just the right price and I was so pleased with how smoothly everything went from start to finish.

Chapman BMW was a five-​star experience from start to finish. I recently relocated to the Phoenix area, and needed a new vehicle. I went to Chapman and worked with Joe Lena! Joe was amazing! I’m a busy businesswoman and had a small window of time to get what I needed. I told Joe what I wanted, and what I was willing to spend and he never tried to up-​sell me! Dan Lidington is the best! I moved here in 2012 and he’s been my service advisor since. I do all my service and purchase in this location coz of him! He’s great! He’s very nice, friendly, patience, professional and flexible. Always meets my need. Even though I had bad experience with the tech that service my car, but Dan is just great, so I stayed lol. I would definitively recommend Dan Lidington as service advisor! He’s amazing!

Went in to have my transmission looked at, since it was acting up a little and still under warranty. Surprisingly they found out that the work I needed, RIGHT AWAY, would cost me about $ 1800 out of pocket. I didn’t feel right so went to a mechanic down the street and they were completely honest. The small work I need done won’t even cost a fraction of what Chapman wanted to charge! Won’t be back to Chapman.

Kyle Grone, my service advisor, was awesome in taking care of my needs once the vehicle was returned from the Chapman Collision Center (body shop). He and Doug, the service manager, quickly attended to the small but agitating problems left by the body shop. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the body shop. My vehicle was tied up for over 30 days for a minor rear bumper crash. The price was outrageous given the magnitude of the damage.
With regard to a totally unrelated matter, Kyle Hood, the consumer electronics genius, is great. He was quite helpful both in person and on the phone in instructing me (an old man & non-​geek) with regard to the numerous capabilities and features of the control panel and phone.
I highly recommend both Kyles!

The experience working with Joe Lena at Chapman BMW was unlike any other ! Not only extremely knowledgable about all BMW models, he helped me select the right model for me!
His customer service and follow-​up are exemplary! I would recommend highly!

The first time around with Michael Ludtke, when my car needed a tire change didn’t go as well. I was definitely not a happy customer that day. Maybe because I am a female, my opinion didn’t quite matter. I was short on time and no one listened to me.
Doug and Bobby made up for it the second time around, they got our 328i fixed within a couple of days, even though the part was on a national back order. Also, when I got to the dealership, I had a loaner ready to go within minutes of getting there. Thank you for saving me so much time.

These guys have such good ratings already. To add up my experience, I moved to the valley from California last year. Had my services done from Chapman every time. Like the way they do things from the start.
My adviser, Steve is the best to work with. I always ask for Steve before I get an appointment. Listens to the problems, fixes them and also suggests for what can be done under warranty. Now this is what I have never seen anywhere. In my opinion he is an ideal BMW service adviser. Always has the loaner and its not just him, I appreciate the dealership to offer loaners to customers. Explains things well and the dealing is quick and fast. I have worked with technicians here too and they are very knowledgeable people.
Been here about 10 times and never had a bad experience. Not sure of the sales, but I hear a lot of good stuff from the sales too. If needed, I will definitively get a new one from Chapman.

I originally went to just look at a BMW, my salesman, Joe Lena convinced me to take a test drive and tell me about the car. Joe was very knowledgable about the car and gave me the best buying experience I’ve had. Everyone at the dealership was more then welcoming and made sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The financing process was fast and easy, everything was laid out perfectly clear. The dealership made me feel like I wasn’t just another customer after the sale, they have welcomed me to the BMW family with open arms.

Going to try to keep this civil and a long story as short as possible.
I bought a BMW from this dealership a bit over a year ago. I will fully admit, at the time I wasn’t as educated as I should have been about what I was buying and what I was trading in, unfortunately Chapman BMW on Camelback decided to take full advantage of that. I worked with a salesmen named Savas. First of all, he sold me the worst car I’ve ever bought and hopefully the worst one they had on their lot. Within two weeks of purchasing it the first rainstorm came and we found the wiper blades were shot, old, cracked and didn’t work. We also found that while they said it had a fresh oil change it didn’t (found out by the onboard computer and by checking ourselves to see how black and dirty it looked). At this point, Chapman was nice enough to do what should have already been done, replace the wipers and give it a fresh oil change, but this was just the beginning of the problems.
So far, my car has needed a full brake job on both the front and rear brakes. Rotors and all which were shot. I’ve barely put 15,000 miles on the car thus far and the brakes were completely gone, both front and rear, which of course on a BMW is no cheap task. At the time I was in Phoenix and didn’t need it, but upon driving into colder weather found that the heater does not work. Only the defrosters will blow heat out and no matter what is done with the vents and settings, so if you want any heat it’s only coming through the defrost area. The windshield wipers also only work on «fast» mode, none of the other settings work. Both headlights have also gone out since having it and the radio has a glitch where the base will go completely out at times. Also, right after purchasing the car the trunk decided to stop opening and I had to take it back to Chapman for them to fix it.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that they sold me one of the biggest lemon’s of a BMW in the southwest they completely ripped me off on it. I bought it for about $ 2,200 more than it should have been sold for at that time. Halfway through the process Savas actually said the price on it was wrong and that it was $ 500 more. What a nice way to make some more commission, I’ll admit I was a fool but what a dishonest thing to do. Not only did I buy my car for about $ 2,200 more than it should have sold for (in excellent condition) at the time but I traded MY car in. I found out a month or so later that the car I traded in should have brought me at least $ 1,800 more at the time in TRADE IN value and mine was in pristine condition, full service, needed nothing. So they ended up rolling over money that shouldn’t have been and overselling me a car.
Here’s where it get’s interesting… After several months I was so unhappy with my purchase that I called them up. I had actually posted a review for them on Unilocal at that time, but they told me if I would just delete it they would help me make things right and get into a fair purchase. When I spoke to the manager Nick on the phone he laughed and said «Well it’s too bad, no one held a gun to your head did they?» How unprofessional. Luckily I got in contact with a very nice fellow named Lyle. Lyle was sympathetic to my situation, told me I didn’t have to deal with Savas anymore and said he would help me get into a better deal and better car. He was basically going to let me trade this car back in for $ 2,000 less than I had bought it for, which was still a hit but I could get into something more… Reliable? Keep in mind, this car sold for just a tick under 20 grand and was only 6 years old with less than 100k miles on it.
After awhile, I finally got back in contact with Chapman as they had something within my price range that could get me out of the cursed car I had purchased. I showed up and EVERYONE denied having ever known a man named «Lyle» who was supposedly the used car sales manager at the time. Unfortunately, I got to work face to face with «Nick» to try to make a deal work. He offered me close to HALF of what I had bought the car for just months prior admitting it wasn’t worth anymore than that.
My whole experience with Chapman BMW was a nightmare. The car has had so many gremlins and problems I can’t count them all and I was completely ripped off. ALWAYS make sure you do your homework on cars, especially when dealing with Chapman BMW. Even if it seems like a good deal at the time you will later find out just how bad they can screw some one over.
EDIT for comment from Chapman: Haha! I think not. The review was removed at that time as I stated because I was told if I did that you folks would work something out with me. Again, Lyle was the one who was working with me and he «disappeared.» When I tried to get the issue resolved it was NEVER resolved and believe me I tried. I simply did not repost the review at the time. As time has gone on I’ve found out just how low quality of a car I was sold and just how much I was ripped off.

So far I have gotten a 2011 535i, a 2014 X3 and 2015 335i through Joe Lena in sales. My wife and I have had the best experience ever at Chapman thanks to Joe and Bobby. These deals have been hassle free with Joe. Our first time, my wife and I were there for less than an hour and every time it gets quicker. He listens to what you want and delivers.

Patrick Burchell is our service advisor. I recently saw what I thought was a check engine light on the dashboard that concerned me. I sent Patrick an email early that morning and he contacted me back and told me to bring the car in. I had appointments that day and so when I arrived he already had a loaner car waiting.
He called me when the car was ready and advised that the thermostat had needed to be replaced — all under warranty and at no cost to me. Thanks Patrick for your prompt response and incredible customer service.

I dealt with Mr. Savas on the pre-​owned side of things to get into my 2011 Audi A4 Quattro. As my first «new» car purchase, it was a pleasurable experience. I did give him a hard time about the payments but in the end he and the gentleman in the finance department (forgot his name, but he was so kind!) got me out the door with acceptable terms.
All in all, good experience. I’ll definitely consider them in the future when I decide to move on from the Audi.

I am new to BMW and to leasing cars but Chapman made it easy. Robert (internet sales) and Kyle (senior Genius) took very good care of me. Kyle really knows his stuff and was exceptionally patient with my very tech un-​savvy self.
I ended up getting a new 428i hardtop convertible and it is a dream to drive. I’m looking forward to being a Chapman BMW customer for many years to come.

I’ve owned a couple of BMW products. A Z3 for my wife, a K1200RS motorcycle for myself. Both of these were just toys that we sold after we started having children.
I was in the market for a new SUV diesel and I found that the best vehicle suited for me was a BMW X5 Diesel. It was the lowest cost per mile to operate and frankly had a better record than some of the others i researched.
I bought it used at another dealer who took it in on trade so I wanted to see how well it was taken car of and I stopped in at Chapman. Doug S, the service Manager was awesome, it turns out it was in for every scheduled service and it was all done right there. One owner and he took care of it very well.
I have had several things taken care of here at Chapman and I can tell you the only reason I return is because of Doug S. and Michael L. They are both very attentive to my needs. Lets face it, we can go into any BMW dealer and they will have certified mechanics that can complete the job, but the process between pulling in and picking up is all about the service staff on the front end. Now, I don’t want to take a way from the mechanics there at Chapman as they’ve always finished my work on time and without issue, but I don’t see them, I see Doug and Michael and they always put on a smile when I arrive. I wonder if they have bad days? If they do, they don’t show it. They are the reason I will continue to return to Chapman.
Above I said I’ve had several things taken care of, but now were really issues. I had a hitch installed, GPS updated, Sirius Satellite Radio upgraded and a couple of oil changes. Most recently I was in there for a brake job. I just pulled in without an appointment because the sensor was on and it they quickly accommodated me. Best part of it all was that I had a few chips in my windshield and Michael asked if I wanted to run it through and get it replaced with USAA. I had been avoiding it because I didn’t have time to schedule it. They were able to get the glass shop in while my X5 was there and I didn’t have to make another appointment.

Bought a Certified Pre Owned BMW 650i convertible had a great sales experience, will buy from again!

Aside from me paying $ 400 to replace a battery on my car, everything else was nice. Hahah
Michael is my service guy and he is always helpful and friendly. He gets me in to the shop when I need repair on my car it and gets the job done.
He offered me coffee/​tea and escorted me to a waiting area. Real nice!
