i run a small business and answer the phone 90% of the time.
This company calls once or twice a week and I say you have called me 20 times.
They say that they have only called me twice already, admitting they are harassing
me.

I was ripped off by them. Shame on them. From the beginning. I was contacted by CPN and convinced to switch over to them. I was also told to sell my new processing machine and lease one of theirs through First Data. I ended up paying almost $ 1500.00 for a 300.00 machine. When I ended my contract with CPN I found out I had to continue to pay for the processing machine for another year. The machine is no longer compliant and because I have no contract with CPN any more I am stuck with paying for it. I have been told by CPN that it is first Data’s fault and First Data says it is CPN’s fault. So I am going to have to pay for another year on a machine that can’t be used and despite the contract will not be replaced. I also was charged too much money for processing through CPN. When I went to end the contract I found out that it is a year longer than a standard processing contract. If I cancelled the penalty was also a lot higher than what most companies charge. Very disappointed as I trust businesses to be honest

I was solicited by this company and they said I would save money on my SE Fees well wrong.
I am spending more on fees. In my current statement they charged a Compliance fee which I did not authorized. I call 2 times and requested for Risk management to reverse fees and the rep. refused to transfer me. I am in a contract and have more years. I made big mistake. This company refuses to refund me. BEWARE

They call twice a week. Won’t stop.
Any business that uses telemarketers gets one star from me only because I cannot select zero stars.
If I was interested, I would call them.
NOT INTERESTED!!! LEAVE ME ALONE

For a moment I thought to myself, I thought I put the business I work for on the Do Not Call Registry. Because I did (over 31 days ago) and yet I’m still being bombarded with these stupid calls.

Very pushy sales man /​woman and they dont get the point when you well them that you are not interested.

Capital Processing Network cold called me. I respect cold callers. I know it’s a tough job, but CPN should not hang up on people, especially when they are nice to them. Very poor customer care! I would never work with them.

Be very very careful when talking to this company. Even if you get things in writing, they will ignore what was written and do whatever they want. Their sales people are aggressive because they work on commission. They will promise anything in order to get you to change to CPN, because they know that it’s a tough to change, and if they can get you to change, then they’ve GOTCHA because you won’t want to go through it again! You’ve been warned. I just don’t want you to come back here later, with remorse, filling out a one-​star review.

A very honest rep came to my place of business, reviewed my current provider and told me I was already getting a decent rate and that I should stick with what I have.
How often does that happen? Never! I was really impressed. I am staying with my current provider but I just wanted to pass along my thoughts.

When I signed up I told the salesperson that if our first statement looks good I’ll refer a lot of business to him. Well, guess what, it wasn’t. It was a waste of time switching to them. The rates were higher than what was shown on the contract and now we’re also stuck with an egregious lease for the machine. The salesman explained to me that its impossible to predict what the rates will be. But of course they’re HIGHER than what’s on the contract.
I checked their Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating and for a while their membership was REVOKED. How does a business mange that? It now shows that they are under review.
Bottom line, we are saving money over what we paid with the prior processor. But the salesman pointed out that he’s never seen such a high rate as we were paying with the prior processor. So a decrease in rates for us does not mean its a good deal.
What I’ve learned:
* Lease on the machine is $ 89.95 + tax per month. We are paying four grand for a thousand dollar machine.
* Unlike other processors who have 3 tiers, they don’t have a middle tier so I guess we’re being bumped to the higher tier.
* Debit cards are at credit card rates, costing us more than 1% on debit card sales.
If you are contemplating switching processors you have to understand how the process works. The rates on your contract with Capital Processing Network are the base rates — they DO NOT include the surcharges levied by the credit card companies. These can be different for every card — someone has to pay for those affinity miles. Keep that in mind when comparing overall rates with your current processor. Its complicated but if you don’t understand it you will wind up over paying.
