Brooklyn Bedding

After doing a lot of research and trying out another factory direct bed I ordered the Soft version from Brooklyn Bedding. Having previously had a very expensive pillow top mattress for the past 10 years I wanted to have a bed that was similar, which was soft and supportive, yet didn’t cost thousands of dollars, so with some skepticism and hesitation I went the mail order factory direct route. It has been six months since my purchase and I LOVE THIS BED! Every night I climb into bed I am reminded about how great this bed is. I truly believe they have made the #BestMattressEver. To be honest I tried the Casper first (due to all their advertising) with the hopes that it would be the answer for what I was looking for but it was too firm for my liking. It felt like I was sleeping on a gym mat, which for me just didn’t work. But as advertised I returned the mattress without any issues. I then ordered a bed from Brooklyn Bedding, and as BB advised when ordering it took approximately two weeks for delivery. The anticipation was killing me, but when the bed did arrive I was blown away. This is exactly the bed I had been searching for… and I’m no Goldilocks! I have been blessed to have been able to stay at many high end hotels and this bed in comparable to anything that those hotels are using, but for a fraction of the price. I wake up every morning feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day thanks to my Brooklyn Bedding bed!

Love the mattress … from day one the mattress as been comfortable and helped me get rid of back pain that has plagued me for months. This mattress replaced a Englander coil mattress which sagged after only 1 year in use and went downhill from there (and my sleep and back with it). Ordering and delivery process was very easy. Unpacking was simple and I am impressed with the lack of foam mattress odors.

I’d love to be able to review the #BestMattressEver, but I have yet to sleep on it because it never arrived.
It’s now two full weeks after I ordered my mattress after a disaster in my home, during which time I’ve had no bed to sleep in. The bed is nowhere to be found and no one can tell me when it’ll be delivered. I’ve spoken to many people at customer service including the «manager» Mario and no one at Brooklyn Bedding cares, and calls it FedEx’s problem. I was lied to about when the mattress shipped, and in reality it was a full WEEK after I ordered before the actual mattress was sent through FedEx. I was also lied to by Keaton at customer service who said he «spoke to FedEx» and they guaranteed delivery on a date that has long passed. FedEx says that was never the case, and given my experience with BB so far, I’m more inclined to trust Fed Ex (which is a phrase I never thought I’d say).
You got your money so now I’m on my own right? This is a pathetic excuse for customer service. For a company that markets their mattresses with a hashtag, you’d think you’d care a bit more about social media and making sure customers are satisfied so they’re not forced to call you out on multiple platforms because no one is doing anything about a serious problem.
«Sales manager» Mario (I use quotes because a manager doesn’t speak to customers the way that he did) was rude and unhelpful. I’d love to cancel the order, but that would involve getting the bed delivered, waiting for it to be picked up, waiting for it to be shipped back and waiting for a refund. I’ve already waited long enough and want a bed to sleep on.

Love it. Got hhe 10 inch medium firm latex mattress and am sleeping well. I thought it was going to be too soft due to the softness when sitting on the edge but when you lie down it gives just a bit then is supportive. Cheaper than many others so I am very satisfied.

No hassle return??? I think not! Jump through hoops and a couple of cartwheels maybe then we’ll let you return it! Was told I MUST keep the mattress 30 days before I can start the process of returning it! Ridiculous, already had 2 weeks of terrible nights, but just wait 2 more weeks! Would not recommend this company to anyone, at all. Need a foam mattress well then try Casper or Leesa, they really are a no hassle return policy!!! STAY AWAY FROM BROOKLYN BEDDING YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Got my queen, medium-​firm Best Mattress Ever about 2 months ago. Verdict: the best mattress I’ve owned! The price and service were great — thank you Brooklyn Bedding.

My wife and I weigh around 150 pounds. We tried comfort layers from firm to medium but it didn’t work. Both of us got up with back discomfort and this persisted. Unfortunately for us trying the layers got the bed past its return date eligibility and now we can’t sleep on it or ship it back.

After doing tons of research I decided to go with Brooklyn Bedding. I had a memory foam mattress for 10 years and decided to get a new bed after it started to break down and sag some. Through my research, I came across SO MUCH INFORMATION it was somewhat overwhelming. I not only looked online but went to stores and tried out bed after bed trying to decide what worked.
After much deliberation and soul searching, I went with latex and Brooklyn Bedding. As I was saying before, there are so many reviews that you get tons of good, bad, contradictory, wrong, right, personal preference, etc info that it really comes down to trying a mattress out in a store and then finding a company that is reputable, using quality products and offering a great price. I used the info I gained from the stores on material and firmness and then based on store reputability and quality of material, I went with BB.
I realized there are TONS of places selling memory and latex mattresses. So, I started to become more interested in the quality of the materials they are using. Just because it says «2in Latex» or «3in Memory foam» does not mean you are getting the same as in another mattress. I liked that BB was using latex. I noticed my allergies act up so I wanted an antimicrobial material. I also liked that it was a natural material and not chemical based. I liked that it had more spring and feel than a memory foam, this helps with many aspects of using your bed :) So, latex it was.
I went with BB over other companies because they offer different levels of firmness. I went with Medium. I am a back and side sleeper but have some occasional back pain so I wanted some support. I am an active guy weighing 156lbs and am 5’10″ and this was a good fit for me. I have had shoulder issues while sleeping in the past and I have not had those while sleeping on this mattress.
One final note — Customer service was great. I called with questions/​concerns and they were quick to answer them. Shipping was extremely fast and setup was easy.
People usually say «for the price, it was totally worth it!» but I checked out other mattresses that were $ 3500 or more and this felt no different. Bottom line — you aren’t sacrificing quality by saving some money. Use the leftover dough to buy some pillows and nice sheets.

Ordering process and customer service experience was great. We ordered a king size, extra firm and let it air out for about 5 hours before sleeping on it. It is very firm, but we love it. Took a few nights to get used to the firmness, but haven’t had better sleep on another mattress. We’ve had it for about a month now and it’s just gotten better. No complaints.

Have had the Cool Supreme mattress for nearly a month now and my wife really likes it, which is all that matters I guess lol. Definitely feels like the tempur supreme to the touch, cant compare sleeping differences because we have never had a tempur, but we are happy.
Fast shipping, cosmetically appealing and comfortable

Excellent quality and professionalism from an american brand. I received my 13″ PureCool Luxe memory foam mattress two days ago via FedEx. Keep in mind, the mattress is HEAVY (120lbs on the package label), so plan on having a friend to help move it. My first nights sleep was a dream. I haven’t slept this well in years!
Being that this was first memory foam matress, my biggest concern was heat dissipation and trapping. Generally, i didn’t feel like i was too hot. I’m planning on posting a follow-​up review after a few more weeks (as it starts to get a little warmer outside). Overall, i’m extremely satisfied with this product.

Amazing free pillows and great comfy mattress. I’m 107 lb, female and I got the level 6, medium.

I spent a lot of time researching mattresses online and the one that came up over and over as a top contender was the 14″ Aloe Alexis.
We’ve been sleeping on this bed for 2 weeks now and it’s definitely been the best bed we’ve ever slept on! Customer service was great as was the entire shopping experience.
I’d highly recommend this bed to anyone.

I spent several months researching my new mattress purchase, on the usual websites. I learned far more than I ever could’ve imagined about materials, construction methods, base and comfort layering, and durability. I wanted to make a big ticket purchase that was actually worth the cost in the long run. Knowing that the big box mattress stores tend to sell innerspring and memory foam mattresses at huge retail markups, even with limited time only sales, I wanted to get something custom made and factory direct to maximize quality and value. Plus my research revealed that most of the big name manufacturers have low long term customer satisfaction ratings and poor durability, which I wanted to avoid at all costs. I hated the idea of spending $ 1500-​$ 2000 on a mattress that would be less than ideal within a few years.
Enter Brooklyn Bedding. After reading glowing reviews and endorsements on Mattress Underground, I felt like this was my best bet. I ordered a 14″ Aloe Alexis in level 1-​ultra firm. I’m a fairly well built, tall guy and a stomach sleeper who hates the «sinking in» feeling, so I needed something firm and supportive. Mario was extremely helpful selecting the comfort layer rating, and I’m very happy with the purchase. All told, it took less than 6 minutes on the phone to talk through my needs, set up the order and pay. I don’t believe it could get any easier to order a high quality, custom made, factory direct mattress under any circumstances.
The actual mattress is phenomenal. Comfortable, supportive in all the right ways, made of materials that look and feel like high quality, plus all the health benefits (mold and allergen resistance etc). It sleeps cool, which I love, and I wake up every morning feeling dramatically more refreshed than I did on the old innerspring I replaced. I’m confident based on the quality of materials and construction that this mattress will last a long time, making it an unbelievable value. I would gladly refer anyone who is mattress shopping to Brooklyn Bedding.

Our mattress, which appears to no longer be offered, was the Aloe Adelle (3″ of Latex, 3″ of Memory Foam hybrid). We like our mattress, but the sales experience was a migraine. They sent us the wrong pillows, for example, and then told us the only way to get the correct pillows was at cost to us. That was resolved over 3 days of phone calls — over PILLOWS — and they found I was correct the entire time. For our mattress, the cover arrived and the zipper was lodged a solid 16 inches under the fabric. I tried coaxing it out for an hour, after which time my fingers were too raw and bloody to continue. My multiple calls to different contacts, including my salesman, to remedy the problem were never returned.
It’s an absolute crap shoot. I can tell you their customer service appears to be TERRIBLE, so if you end up with a defective mattress it’s going to be terrible getting it resolved if they even resolve it. And after all that’s the main point of anxiety for buying a mattress on the internet.
When we finally got the mattress put together, we’ve found it resulted in a better nights sleep (thought hotter than a spring mattress, no matter what they tell you about Gel foam or whatever). At the end of the day I’d say it was worth it, but beware when we go to a hotel or parent’s house overnight, spring mattresses result in pain. You get kind of spoiled.

I’m updating the review based on follow up from Brooklyn Bedding. I was contacted by the sales manager who sent us new comfort layers. The new layers actually looked new! They even came with a manufacturer’s tag with the specs on it whereas the old layers had no such tag.
So, for that, I’ve updated my star rating accordingly. I appreciate the follow up from the company but I’m still annoyed we had the issue in the first place.

This is long overdue, but we love our mattress. We have had it for some time now, but I don’t get on Unilocal as often as I would like which is why it took so long to write this.
We also referred my mother in law who got a great deal and was very happy with her mattress. The website makes it very easy to order and chat popped up right away (I didn’t need it, but I saw it come right up when I just went on the site again.)

First of all, the product is great — great quality but much cheaper than the best-​known (expensive) brand. And really good warranty.
The only issue I have is that I got shipped a defective mattress — they agree it is defective. BUT they would not send me a replacement w/​o ME putting up the money for the replacement and only give me a credit once they have control of the defective mattress. So, I basically got stuck funding THREE mattresses (yes, I had bought another top of the line memory foam mattress). Don’t know about you, but that is not easily handled in my budget! And of course, the «sales» manager would not let me talk to the owner.
I’m being kind and giving four stars. The product would be five stars, but the service is anything but good. Really feel ripped off. Service would be one star.

Approx two months ago we bought a 10″ latex mattress Essence Firmness: soft
and we couldn’t be happier! The person on the phone was competent and he was able to ship the mattress the same day we ordered on friday, so we received it on tuesday! (instead of wends). The mattress is very comfortable and we have no more backaches. Our son bought the same mattress approx 1 year ago and for him it is a bit too soft, but he says it was comfortable enough not to bother change it with a more firm one

This business gets no stars. Beware. They state they get some of their products, in particular Talalay mattress toppers from Latex International. They don’t. They sell an inferior product that has a very strong chemical odor that does not go away. The law tag that comes on the product with a «bamboo» cover (not bamboo but 65% polyester 35% bamboo) clearly states the product comes from Utah and NOT from CT. (The only place Latex International manufactures and ships from). Another tag clearly states that the cover can be removed to wash using the zipper. There is no zipper. Customer service is non existent. They constantly change what they tell you. Even outright lie. Don’t use their chat line. (no record of what they tell you) make all conversations in the form of emails.
