Blast Fitness Camelback

The gym is decent for getting a workout, but definitely quite a few flaws. The dumbbells on the rack are all over the place & neither the dumbbells or the rack are marked. A good portion of your time will be spent trying to locate the weights you need on the unorganized rack.
The weigh plates are scattered all over the place as well, but at least they’re marked.
The benches are definitely old & most have tears in them.
There is one Smith machine & it’s definitely on its last leg. It’ll break in a matter of no time.
I’ve visited this gym a handful of times & each time there was no soap or paper towels in the men’s restroom.
The staff are pretty rude & have never acknowledged me when I entered or exited the gym. Almost like it’s a hassle for them to scan my key tag.
Oh, and the music sucks. Definitely bring your own.
The one star is because it’s never crowded so you don’t have to wait for much.

First off, I call the gym to speak with the Manger and I get a very unprofessional answer to the phone, «what’s up man, what do you need?»
I was calling to cancel my membership because I have moved out of state. So I was put on hold for about 3 minutes and to my surprise the «hold music» was an UNedited version of some rap song with F*** this S*** F*** B****es. etc. etc. etc. And by the time they came back on the line the Manager said well you can go to a location in the state your in (which is about 3 hours away). She would not allow me to cancel my membership unless I was in person and hung up. Never have had that unprofessional of an experience. This place needs WORK!

I have been going back and forth between Blast Fitness and ABC Financial on trying to obtain my $ 196 refunded back to me and there are just so many hoops to jump through. I canceled my gym membership back in August of 2014 and was continuing to be charged the membership and other fees up until March of 2015 when I was successful (supposedly) my membership a second time. I am being assured that I will not continue to receive any other charges.
However, now I am being told by ABC that they have no record of my previous cancellation and that they only have a personal trainer cancellation on record. According to Tanya with Blast Fitness, they do not keep client files dating back 7 months. This sounds completely strange to me just on tax purposes alone. So, asking the gym to provide you a copy of your cancellation paperwork is out of the question because they do not keep their files. It appears that I will not be receiving my $ 196 back short of filing a small claims court case against Blast Fitness and ABC Financial.
I highly recommend staying away from Blast Fitness and ABC Financial if at all possible.

Really no stars. Go… See for yourself. Crap employees, no rule enforcement, sloppy… Been going for a few months daily and never any better. Time to move on.

lied about pricing, overcharged, and still has not paid me back. OK equipment but terrible music. to top it off Tanya (manager) is the most unprofessional person I have ever met…

This place is ok, I have it 2 stars for having the women section and for having the classes. I had to rate this place low because the babysitter service is awful. You can’t just take any 2 girls and call it a day. No one is CPR or first aid certified, but ok let’s say they get certified… The two sitters are cheating to themselves and the kids are standing against the wall. The lego set is under the sitters chair as to not allow the kids to play. The carpet as you can see in the picture is gross beyond words, and the have not move other then this… If you place your child here, you need to reconsider!

Love this place! The staff is super friendly and it’s only $ 20 a month for yoga, spinning, Zumba, and now boot camp! You can’t get better than that :-)

The new management at this Blast Fitness is horrible! I’m cancelling my membership after today’s incident! I’ve been a member for 7 months and never had problems under the old management. When I joined, I made sure I paid the extra money to get access to the class facilities. Today, I was in the class room working out, when I was rudely kicked out and told the policy has changed since I signed my contract, and I’m no longer allowed in that room when classes aren’t active. I was told it was a liability issue, and that it was TOO INEFFICIENT for the staff to do their jobs and simply check the room every 5 or 10 minutes. The management was rude, and wouldn’t give me their contact information for any complaints to upper management.
On another note, the equipment is cheap at this location, and is frequently out of order. I’ve been to other locations and it is better. Perhaps this whole location needs to be shut down. I do know they should get new management who actually encourage people to work out, instead of place barriers in between people and their workouts!

The good: the zumba classes are really fun, with energetic instructors who really get the class moving. The staff is uniformly pleasant and friendly.
The bad: they never did replace that stupid clock. There is no rowing machine and no one responded to my email requesting one. There are very few fitness classes, ranging from one per day to a high of three. As a result, some of the classes are so crowded that people can barely move. Despite my repeated requests, the website is INCORRECT about the class schedule. Evidently this is a «corporate» issue, but corporate doesn’t care. I know because I’ve contacted them four times. The last time, they did not even give me the courtesy of a response. The place could be a little cleaner, they don’t appear to mop the classroom every day. Also, the woman only room was cut down in size and is now very crowded.
Final call: at $ 20 a month (plus the yearly charge), this is still a good deal.

I joined this gym because the $ 11 membership sounded very appealing to me. Immediately after, I noticed that all of their machines looked and felt cheap. The treadmills squeaked like a rusty door hinge, and the overall quality of the entire facility was below a decent standard. The reason I’m giving this business one star is because they also like to cheat people out of money. On top of the $ 21 you pay to join, the $ 11 you pay two weeks later, and the $ 50 you pay after 90 days, they had the nerve to charge me an extra $ 20 onto my account due to a clause in a contract they never showed me. To top things off, they make you jump through hoops when you want to cancel a membership. Money is hard to come by these days, so don’t waste yours on this miserable excuse for a gym.

I’ve been coming here a couple of times a week for the past two months and have always been met with a friendly smile at the front counter. Everything has seemed really clean (especially the women’s locker room/​bathroom) and they always have paper towels and cleaner around the gym to wipe off equipment with. I’ve also liked the classes I’ve attended. There are a ton of cardio/​resistance machines, and I’ve never had to wait to use a machine, and while a few have been out of order occasionally, there were plenty of others, and the broken machines seemed to get fixed pretty quickly.
The only thing I have negatively to say is that they don’t have the class schedule posted on their website yet, and also a few times I’ve had to wander around the gym to find a paper towel because whoever loaded the dispenser didn’t pull the first towel down through the bottom.

Good staff, great gym, honestly would give 5 stars if they would get a power rack.

Love that every time I go (very early morning), there are less than 20 people people there and I can have use of everything without waiting. Staff always smile and greet me when I enter & exit. Price is super affordable and I know as membership grows so will their class schedules and staff. I encourage anyone to check it out!

I started going here a few weeks ago and have had nothing but a pleasant experience so far. The front desk staff always greets me as soon as I walk in the door and my trainer, Eric, is always great to work with. The building is clean and there are plenty of machines, weights, etc. for your needs. I haven’t been back in the locker rooms yet, but I wouldn’t expect anything different.
