We are currently renting a property that is managed by this group. The agent that we have been working with was great in getting back with us and getting us the information we needed. We were moving from out of state and actually did not see the property before we moved in. Let’s just say we were lucky that both the location and the property were great. Unfortunately when it came to filling out the paperwork we were rushed to fill out a lease (without seeing the property in person) even tho we already made a deposit to hold the property. Also when the property was listed on zillow it had stated that Basic cable was included in the rent which is one of the things that drew is to the property… And welp two weeks into being at the property the agent told me the HOA was no longer offering that… And the agent gave us basically an oopsie daisy and no solution That information would have been nice to know a looooong time ago, it wouldn’t have been a deal breaker but the agent should have been aware of the changes and notified us. Makes me skeptical of what this year has to bring.

This is the worst company I’ve ever rented from.
It was very clear from the start that the property manager had the landlord’s interest at heart, not mine.
As soon as they got my earnest money, all of my concerns were ignored.
For example, the entire time I lived in one of the properties managed by BlackHawk, there was a hive of bees living outside my back patio. Bees would routinely fly into the condo through the AC vents. I had to kill bees that invaded my home nearly every day. I put in several maintenance requests regarding the bees, and all of them were ignored. I was told more than once that «bees are around during the spring, but then they’ll leave.» I was absolutely shocked that they didn’t take the issue seriously.
Now that I’ve moved out of the property, they’re claiming that I didn’t clean anything before I left and are saying that they’re keeping my cleaning deposit. I absolutely cleaned everything before I left! Nothing was damaged. I believe that when you borrow something, you should return it in better condition than when you got it. So, I left the condo cleaner than it was when I moved in.
These are just a couple of the reasons I will never work with BlackHawk again.
I highly recommend that you do not rent from this company – they are not interested in helping you! They are only interested in protecting their property owners.
