I called on a Sunday morning and a tech was dispatched out a few hours later. Chris B was awesome. Hes called on his way here and arrived 15 minutes early. He got the entire job done in less that 45 minutes. Thank you A-​Authentic Garage Doors.

Too Expensive… Gave us the most expensive quote to replace garage door. After calling this company to come and look at our broken garage door they charged us $ 65 for a service fee and gave us a very high quote. I didn’t trust this was the cheapest so I called 5 other garage door services and they all came in with a much lower quote (many offering a free service call as well). I called A-​Authentic asking them for our $ 65 back since so many other companies offer a free call and they refused saying they would refund it if a repair or service is provided. They came in at $ 1294 (plus $ 65 service fee plus another $ 100 to take the garage door away). We decided to go with another company (changed our mind on windows as well) and out the door paid $ 795. If you want to pay hundreds more then go with this company — otherwise save your time and service fee money and call someone else. The service technician was very nice and was at our house in an hour — even though this was not an emergency. This review is based solely on price — I can’t say anything about quality of work.

These guys are great! I asked neighbors for recommendations and two of them recommended this company. I called for a fairly minor issue which turned out to just the need to replace batteries in the remotes. While he was here he oiled all the hinges and recommended replacing, the ball bearings and some other parts. He gave me a price of $ 600 but decided to wait until the Spring. Well today the garage door came off the track because my car hit it. David came out to fix it within 30 min. To rehang the door was $ 175 which sounded reasonable for a Sunday. He also needed to add braces and noticed it needed the ball bearings and other parts too. He said he’d do it all for me today for the $ 600 quoted on Friday. This was NOT in addition to what he’d already done so I went ahead and had it all done. Now it sounds like a new garage door/​opener. Very quiet. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

A-​Authentic had serviced my aging garage door opener several times this year before it simply became clear that the unit had become too old and too touchy and really needed to be replaced.
They sent the same technician, Ethan, each time and he was also the one to replace my unit today. Each time they gave me a one hour timeframe during which he would arrive, and he did — calling in advance if he thought he might be early. He was on time every single time, and was knowledgeable, personable, upbeat and completely helpful — even when working in the summer heat.
I really appreciated the professionalism, helpfulness and timliness of Ethan and A-​Authentic.

The mechanic come out for their garage door tune-​up. He installed new rollers and that was it said I had a bad bearing but did not want to repair. Garage door sounded worse after the work was done. Never heard of a company not offering additional service. The mechanic just wanted in and out.

A-​Authentic technician, David, is a knowledgeable technician. Our garage door had multiple repair issues. Four struts were added to give stability to an old door. The new belt drive is extremely quiet, which we appreciate. We also had a new keypad entry installed. David had done repair on our other garage door about 3 years ago. He is very professional and has repaired garage doors for 12 years. He’s the one to ask for if you have any issues with your garage doors.

They replaced the broken springs adequately. However, they told me the door closed down too far, so they adjusted it. In the weeks that followed I got all sorts of debris in my garage because there was a gap between the door and the concrete. I called to inquire (not complain) about it four times… and was never called back. I would never use this company again. Triple B came out and adjusted the door properly… I should have called them originally.

Service date April 2014. Technician initials on receipt # 51 156 are D.O. I had just moved in to rental house 5 weeks earlier. Garage door would only work using the button going in to the house to close the door… remotes wouldn’t work to open or close. Technician told me I needed new springs, lubrication, ball bearing rollers, etc for a total quote of $ 289.75. I paid the $ 65 fee for him to show up on a Sunday. I said no. Called the landlord, he came over right away and all it was was one of the sensors on one side of garage door was not pointing toward the other sensor! Unfortunately, I am new to garage doors… will NEVER use this company again… either the technician tried to take advantage of the situation or the company hires employees who are inexperienced or trains them to drum up $$$…regardless, no excuse… will never use again. It is now August and I have not had a single problem with the door.

My garage door stopped working after 8 years and I called A-​Authentic Garage Door Repair. Darrell came out (the owner) and explained that I needed a new garage door opener. The price was right and I was very very satisfied with the install and new equipment. I also received a new garage panel and 2 new car remotes. Darrell even programmed my internal car remote. He was very professional and friendly. I was very impressed and have since referred him to several friends, who have all received exceptional service.
If you are needing any garage repair service this is the place to go. Ask for Darrell, he will treat you right, every time.

My garage broke, they were here the same day and fixed the broken springs and rollers, even gave me a tune up also … Totally trustworthy. Pros: Technician showed up on time. Work was performed fast. Technician seemed to be very good at what he was doing.
Cons: $ 65 service fee (waived if work performed) for just showing up. High prices for parts/​work performed. The quote changed after work had started. The technician continually tried to up sell to a full garage opener mechanism replacement for over $ 2000.
I would not recommend this company based on this experience. I don’t believe that I needed all the parts replaced and that it was an up sell job that I settled on because I was still in shock over the $ 2000 price of the recommended replacement. I also think that the price was high for the work performed.

The owner, Daryl, went out of his way to make things right for us. When one of his new techs had some issues with trouble shooting our problem he came out within the hour to take care of us. I have been in the food service business my whole adult life and this was great service.

Prompt response to my request for service. Technician was ‘Chris” he took the time to explain what service I needed and why. He also suggested additional service (s) like the garage door app for my iPhone which is pretty cool.
All services were completed as promised and Chris returned days later as promised to program my wife’s vehicle.
Overall price was a bit more than competitors but response was better. They worked on my time schedule rather than having me wait around all afternoon for them to show up like the competitors.
Only complaint was selling one add-​on service that I did not really need nor will use.

The service call was because neither remote control was working. This fixed, the technician suggested he install new nylon rollers to replace the metal ones, that these new ones would last much longer and the metal ones were wearing out. I wondered outloud whether this was the reason the operation of the door is always so loud (even when properly lubricated). The technician told me, yes, the door would be quieter after the new installation. $ 119.40 later the door sounds exactly the same.
I was up-​sold unnecessarily.
