Business Owner

Bob Smith is the proprietor and lighthouse keeper of Sebasco Harbor Resort.

Bob started his career in the hospitality industry in Maine 30 years ago as a night porter at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, Maine. Bob purchased Sebasco Harbor Resort in May of 1997 and has invested over $ 12 million in renovations since that time. He is also the founder and principal of Northeast Hospitality and Kellory Management Corporation.

Bob has served as President of the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber, Chair of the Maine Tourism Commission, President of New England Inns and Resorts Association and is currently Chairman of the Board of the Maine Innkeepers Association. Bob serves as a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH & LA) Resort Committee and represents Maine on the AH & LA board. He also serves as a board member of the Maine Tourism Association, is Co-​Chair of the Governor’s Nature-​Based Tourism Initiative Task Force.
