Provenance Farm is a pasture-based multi-species farm nestled in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Our livestock are always pastured on fresh forage, have room to roam and the ability to express themselves according to their nature. We work hard to raise animals in a socially, economically and environmentally responsible manner and are proud to share the finished product — excellent beef, lamb, chicken, turkey and eggs — with our community.
History
Established in 2009.
Provenance Farm was started by Rachel and Keith Prickett of Philomath, Oregon.
Together Rachel and Keith enjoy being a part of a growing community of young farmers who are bringing the principles of respect for land and livestock back to agriculture.
Meet the Business Owner
Rachel P.
Business Owner
Rachel was raised on a small farm in Lincoln City, Oregon and developed a passion for farming and ranching at an early age. Her grandfather operated cattle ranches in Southeast Oregon and she spent the early years of her life in one of New Zealand’s richest pasture-based dairying regions, so it seemed inevitable that she would follow her interests to an agricultural college. Rachel graduated from Oregon State University in 2006 armed with a degree in Animal Sciences and a dream of starting a grass-fed beef operation.
