My first Burgundy I tried in College was a Pommard that was so silky and smooth that I fell in love with the Pinot noir variety. Years later after changing majors from Civil Engineering to Enology and working for Fickling, Fetzer, and Château Montelena, I moved to Anderson Valley in pursuit of the elusive Steelhead Trout and the chance to make Pinot noir for Greenwood Ridge Vineyards in 1988.

In 1994 I started working for Edmeades and was there through the 2009 harvest. Since then I have been developing the Witching Stick brand and farming the Fashauer Vineyard. We have a bold Rosato of Zinfandel and a restraint style of Zinfandel from our estate vineyard.

We source some dynamic Chardonnay fruit from the famous Durell Vineyard in Sonoma Valley. We make 3 Designated Vineyard Pinot noirs; Cerise, Wiley, and Gianoli as well as our Dowser’s Cuvee Anderson Valley blend. We also have a Syrah from the Valenti Vineyards in the Mendocino Ridge AVA. Come and taste the bounty.
