Our teachers employ an exciting curriculum, combining fundamental learning with arts, music, movement, life skills, cooking classes & trips into our surrounding community.

Classes & Programs

Infant: 1 to 1.5 y/​o

This class focusing mainly on care also introduces your child to early learning through guided play, music, & exercise to help our early walkers!

Young Toddler: 1.5−2.5 y/​o

Perfect for parents who need help with potty training & transitioning off the bottle, this class helps your child settle in to school structure while introducing early learning skills like First Words & Color/​Shape Awareness.

Older Toddler: 2.5−3 y/​o

This class is where your child will begin to learn to develop their fine motor skills through art, writing, & puzzle play. They will also begin to build upon (letter, number, color, shape etc) identification & beginning social skill development.

Young Preschool: 3 – 4 y/​o

This class begins our Kindergarten preparatory program introducing beginners phonics, fine/​gross motor development, math skills & pattern recognition.

Pre Kindergarten: 4 – 6 y/​o

This class is where we fine tune your child’s already achieved abilities (and new ones too) to their highest potential to ensure success in Kindergarten the following year.

After Care Program K-​5th Grade

Offering home work help, tutoring & supplemental learning, our after care classes run 3−6pm M-​F to meet the needs of your school age child. (Program is full time during summer months as Day Camp.)

Established in 2006.

Located in the heart of South Philly, Young Hearts Child Care & Learning Center was opened in March of 2006 to meet the educational and care needs of the surrounding community. Our mission is to deliver exceptional education, and devoted care for your child in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.
