Worth Repeating Shop

Was here for the first time recently and got great stuff at a steal. The owner was there at the time — she was quirky, kind and helpful. I’ll absolutely be going back…

As I approached Worth Repeating, I saw they had a huge sign in the window advertising a winter clearance 60% off sale. I couldn’t believe my good fortune — first, I was able to find a parking spot right by the store, then they happened to be having a sale.
As I entered, I was warmly greeted by a young man sitting in the front of the shop. Then I heard a second voice.
I looked around and couldn’t see where it was coming from. «Hello. Can I help you.» Finally I saw a large pair of dark sunglasses peeking over a rack of clothing, surrounded by long straight hair. «What are you looking for.» They weren’t really questions.
I made the mistake of mentioning one of the items I was searching for, a gift for a family member. «We do not carry that. You should look in an antique store.» said the sunglasses. «Oh, thanks.» I said, as I started to look at a colorful suit on a rack in the front of the store. «I’ll try an antique store next.»
The sunglasses repeated firmly «We do not carry that item.» The sunglasses stared at me and continued: «We do not have what you are looking for. You would be better served at an antique store. An antique store up the hill.»
I looked at the sunglasses. They looked at me unflinchingly. I looked at the friendly guy in the front of the store who shrugged apologetically.
Fine, if a pair of sunglasses doesn’t want my business, I can go elsewhere. Beware the sunglasses with ‘tude.

I’ve been in here a couple times, and like most consignment stores, it’s hit or miss. The store is small, which I like because I don’t like weeding through for hours.
Recently, I picked up a pair of 7 for all mankind pants for $ 35, which is pretty cheap for that brand. I think the prices here are a little high in general. Their winter stuff was on clearance when I shopped recently, and that made a huge difference in price range.
