This place used to be a great family place… Yes I live in SWP… NO I do not wear a bullet proof vest… went there not to long ago for breakfest… the service was ok but the place was grim… I miss a good olé diner which this place used to be…

I used to have such fond memories of walking here after school and enjoying some food with my friends. My brother and sister used to work here as well and really enjoyed their years here. I used to sit around and hang out while my sister worked the cashier. we really bonded here. It was great generic American diner food. Unfortunately, the area has become a slum-like ghetto and the restaurant has deteriorated. I drive by quickly and have become saddened such fond memories have become enveloped in such filthy ghetto. Such a shame.

God Bless you for going into the front line of the city, the southwest is now what north philly was, but most people are dead in north philly. I would’nt go into southwest without a bullet proof vest.

Woodland Village is kinda in the heart of the Southwest Philly ghetto. Used to be a solid blue class neighborhood, but over the years has deteriorated and the restaurant went along with it. As a kid, our family always went to Woodland Village. My family is a thrifty bunch, and we always dug on the diner-sized portions and solid American style fare. My grandparents don’t do «ethnic» food… so this was one of their favorite places. I don’t know if I’ve just gotten pickier over the years, or what, but now I wouldn’t eat there unless I was really desperate. I’ll always have fond memories of the many meals shared there, but memories they shall stay, because dimly lit, moderately clean restaurants in bad neighborhoods don’t have enough appeal to make me risk getting mugged.
