I am petrified of the dentist. Petrified! I moved to the area and haven’t had a dentist in years. I have been experiencing sporadic pain in a tooth where the filling fell out years ago but because I have been avoiding the dentist it got worst. A friend of mine recommended Dr Tuman’s practice and it was seriously a delight. As much as you can call found to the dentist a delight :)
I was with Ryan, Dr Tuman’s son. What a nice and kind doctor and super grateful for his gentle manner and lovely assistant. I have to go back for the crown since they do the prep work first and I am happy to say that I am not totally dreading it.

I had a dental emergency while out of town and Dr tuman fit me in and relieved my pain.

Dr. Tuman’s office was clean and worked fine for my annual check in. The hygenist that cleaned my teeth and gentle and careful at her job. Though I did wait for a while to be seen, another patient was having a hard time next door, the entire staff was very apologetic and accommodating during my wait.

I found Dr. Tuman after much research and following the positive reviews seen on Unilocal.I’m the kind of person who requires a lot of dental work so I was relieved when I visited Tuman’s office for the first time. The staff and hygienists are so friendly, and the office is clean with modern technology. I thought it was so cool to be able to see my x-​rays immediately on the flat screen in front of my dental chair! The service I’ve received is excellent and I am very pleased overall.
If you haven’t found a good dentist yet, you must give Dr. Tuman a try! But call in advance because you may have to wait a few weeks before getting an appointment — he is that popular!

I debated greatly whether to reroute as a 3-​star or 4-​star. I chose the latter because I believe everyone makes mistakes now and then and it’s how you remediate the situation that shows true character and humility, or lack there of.
I’ll keep this brief as this is my second update. Sunday evening I sent Dr Tuman’s office an email expressing my great dissatisfaction and pain caused by the exposure of dentin from shaving a cusp adjacent to a tooth in which I had a cavity filled. 10am Tuesday I called the office as I had not received a phone call. I promptly chose a Wednesday afternoon appointment. I went in 30 minutes early, had about a 15 minute wait and then spoke with Dr Tuman first thing.
Fortunately, as I had hoped, his office staff had provided him with a copy of the email I sent, so he was well briefed on the progression of my tooth pain. He was very apologetic for the situation I was in. He briefed me on the chronology of our past appointments and gave his plan for how he intended to resolve the exposed dentin. His care and concern was manifest when he told me that he deliberated at home the night before as to the right treatment to resolve my pain. He insisted that he would do whatever it takes to remediate the situation at no charge.
He sealed the pit with epoxy and made me custom top and bottom teeth whitening molds, which will be used to keep desensitizer on my teeth and maybe protect my teeth during any grinding while I sleep. He spent a considerable amount of time with me educating and drawing out the anatomy of my tooth on paper. He also took some photographs of the pit exposing dentin.
Without expatiating on my dental health, I grind my teeth at night and have worn away several cusps and a large amount of my enamel. To alleviate any possible pressure on my bottom filling he had lightly filled away at the cusp of the adjacent tooth in my upper mouth. There was little to no enamel on that cusp to begin with so he exposed the dentin. Consequently I had pain there and couldn’t eat on the left side of my mouth intermittently for several months following the standard procedure.
Despite the mistake, I still believe that Dr Tuman is a competent and skilled dentist, so I will continue seeing him for my oral maintenance. His repentant attitude, concern for my well-​being, and inventive but prudent treatment plan earned him the extra star for my updated review.

For once, I used a new business based on its Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed!
I needed to choose a new dentist in the area and decided on Dr. Truman based on his positive reviews and the vicinity of his office to my home. All members of the staff here are friendly and helpful. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was easy to talk to and explained what she was doing as she did it and answered all my questions. Dr. Truman is also very friendly and personable and took time to chat with me and gave me advice about my situation. I had some developing cavities, but he didn’t hastily suggest filling them and instead gave me some tips on how to reverse the cavities and noted that we will monitor those areas. I could not be happier with the service I received and will happily return.

Best dentist I’ve ever seen. They made room for me as a new patient in need of emergency treatment. I don’t have dental insurance and so I was shocked to see how affordable the whole appointment was… I’m positive they could have thrown in all kinds of charges if they’d wanted to take advantage of my vulnerability (I was in so much pain!)
My mom and I are both switching dentists immediately to begin seeing Dr. Tuman for regular appointments. Our family has a lot of mistrust when it comes to dentists based on a couple of bad experiences but we got such a great vibe from all of the staff and a genuine desire to do good work from Dr. Tuman.

Quite simply, Dr. Tuman is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! I had a dental emergency, and called his office. They accommodated me immediately, even though I was a first-​time patient.
The waiting room is a little small, but it’s adequate. The staff is friendly and professional. From the start, I felt comfortable and, even more, I felt like I was in completely expert hands. Dr. Tuman explained what needed to be done clearly, and then got to work. I felt at-​ease the entire time.
Dr. Tuman’s hours are fantastic, he honors a variety of insurances.
I’m so glad i live close enough to have Dr. Tuman as my dentist. I would recommend him to anyone for any dental procedure!

Trust me… You won’t find a better dentist.

I’ve gone to this dentist once. It was okay. The hygienest working on my teeth was a temp who didn’t seem to care what was comfortable or uncomfortable for me.
I didn’t like that the office is one big room and you can see and hear what’s going on with other people.
The wait was long, even though I had a very early morning appointment.
On the positive side, the dentist was friendly and the office staff researched insurance coverage for various work and followed up with me on that.
I’d go back if I couldn’t find someone better.
