Tarelli’s is absolutely the most detailed oriented tailor I have come across. I have had Rocco make several custom suits and each fit like a glove. He takes the time to explain the entire process and every detail and measurement that goes into a suit. This business is slowly dying and to find someone who still has the same attention to detail and is just as good as he was when he first started makes the two hour drive worth it.

Been meaning to update for sometime. This is indeed the best tailor I have ever worked with. Bar none. And I’ve blown through many tailors in many towns. Mr. Tarrelli is the real deal. If you want a fine custom suit or just a hem. His attention to detail and his craftsmen ship is superb.

Although I have never been able to afford to have a suit custom made I have been here for many an alteration be it big or small.
Rocco truly is a master as his craft. It is a rare and delightful sight to see someone so dedicated to the quality of their craftsmanship. The shop is what you would expect to see from days gone by when men took the time to have suits made or tailored perfectly for them (or to them, depending on what you want). The owner and sole employee, Rocco, is always friendly and helpful and full of tips and knowledge about menswear that you would be hard pressed to find in a book. He is someone who has studied his craft and has toiled over countless bolts of fabric to be where he is today. His warm and calm demeanor make the fitting process seamless from start to finish. This man is so much more than a tailor who does simple alterations. He can take in a suit, let out a suit, if you need a hand made, custom pair of pants, shirt, jacket… whatever, he will make it for you from raw material stitch by stitch fitting after fitting until it is absolutely perfect. A custom made suit (jacket and pats) starts around $ 650, but it takes one man hours and hours of planning and hands on hard work to craft your masterpiece. This is not something that you could ever pull off of a rack, even places like Boyds respect the art that comes out of this small south philly shop. If you have anything you need altered, do yourself a favor, and get it done here, correctly, with real artisan craftsmanship and know how, and never worry about it looking poorly on you ever again.

Tarelli’s Custom Tailors is fantastic. The owner, Rocco, makes great looking custom suits and also does alterations. I have had two suits made by Rocco. They are both sturdy, comfortable and fit exceptionally well. Rocco is filled with sage advice about nearly every aspect of life and he loves sharing it with his customers.
Though Tarelli’s is not cheap, his work is worth every cent. If you are looking for a suit or need an alteration, you can’t go wrong with Tarelli’s.
