Tried this on a hot day since it had gotten good reviews. I wasn’t very satisfied with what I got. The ice cream was half melted when they scooped it and the scoops were pretty small. The small amount of ice cream that wasn’t melted, however, tasted pretty good. There are also no cones, so everything is in a cup. I wouldn’t buy ice cream here again, as there are better alternatives for the price you’re paying($ 4 for a small portion).

If there’s anything better bought-on-a-whim ice cream on a hot summer day, I don’t know what it is, and Sweet Pea is some of the best ice cream I’ve had. I’ve only gone to the 20th St. cart — the lady who works there is super friendly and efficient and generous with the samples. People rave about the Salted Caramel, which is good. But their classic chocolate is excellent and Cupcake(huge chunks of cake with sprinkles in a vanilla base) is out of this world. $ 4 buys you a good sized portion and a little piece of heaven.

I was able to try some Sweet Pea Ice Cream when they showed up to Forgotten Boardwalk Brewery on 7⁄2. They had a variety of flavors but I went with the salted Carmel and the cookie jar flavors. Delish!!! The cookie jar is what it sounds like, vanilla ice cream with different crushed cookies in it. Yummy! It was a little pricey, I paid $ 4 for a small cup. But it was also for the experience, they drove a little cart from Haddonfield.

Super great guy and great ice cream! My daughter and I were walking down the street, and she freaked when she saw the ice cream. Unfortunately, I didn’t have cash but he gave her a scoop on the house! That’s not an encouragement to do likewise– I just wanted to stress you should bring this guy your business. The ice cream was amazing!!! Next time I’m in Philly, I’ll bring cash for sure(and tip well).

My awesome lunch companion and I decided to try this place out based on word of mouth? The salted caramel is very good, the woman was friendly, and a small cup was $ 4. You can get covers for the ice cream cups, but there is no practical way to carry more than 2 of them(may I recommend having some small bags available?) That being said, she was perfectly lovely, the ice cream is delicious(didn’t quite see Jesus — but he could have been in disguise) and was happy to walk back to the office while eating my yummy ice cream. It’s a little soft for me, because by the end of 3 blocks(the weather was 75 degrees outside), a lot of it had melted. If you’re going to gulp it immediately, it’s a great texture, but I like my ice cream a bit harder since I tend to savor it more(and I’m a slow eater… we exist!)

I did a slow-walk/stare by this new little cart on the corner of 20th& Market. The woman standing by offered samples, and being that I am a sucker for ice cream I went ahead and tried the salted caramel. Pretty sure I saw Jesus(no, I don’t mean Philly Jesus) and then couldn’t walk away without a $ 4 cup of the stuff. Rich, small-batch, fatty delicious ice cream. According to the website, there are other locations in Philly, the ‘burbs, NJ, coming to the South, and invading my daydreams.
