I started Susie’s Sweets in 2012 when friends and and family started asking for me to cater dessert tables and create custom cakes for their parties. It is something I love to do-​when it comes to sweets, the choices are endless!

I ordered a 30th birthday cake from this company, i searched through facebook to find someone to do my birthday cake and i guess i shouldve gone a different route. i went by the photos that was up on the page along with the reviews that were all really positive ones – Another big mistake that was! The cake was okay priced, for a 2 tier cake, it was decorated fairly good, but the number 30 on top was broken when I opened the box to look at the finished product. When it came down to actually tasting the cake, it was terrible, too greasy and had no flavor at all. Seems like i got ripped off, for the price, I couldve bought 3 – 4 cakes from a grocery store and wouldve actually enjoyed the taste of it. the cake was put to some use afterall… the day after my party., I used it in a cake fight… we were a greasy slomy mess after it, but was fun to smash the horrible tasteless cake in peoples faces… Never gonna buy a cake again, unless i taste it first. lesson learned

Just had strawberry short cake in a cup yesterday at the Mannyunk Food Truck Festival and all I can say is WOW! It was perfect! Moist firm cake, vanilla custard between the layers, fresh sweet strawberries with taste, topped with real whip cream! I looked Susie up online and she’s looking for a store front in Mannyunk and I CAN’T WAIT!

I ordered some custom decorated cookies for a babyshower and they were just perfect! All of the guests loved them and they were soft and yummy too! Compared to the other bakeries, Susie’s Sweets Bakery has very reasonable pricing and you don’t have to sacrifice quality. She also delivered them to my home right on time! I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
