This Subway is bad, bad, bad. For starters, they only had two people working during the lunch rush. One on the register, and one making sandwiches. I waited no less than 10 minutes for the three people in line ahead of me to get their sandwiches. Second, the guy who was making my sandwich didn’t have a clue what he was doing. I actually had to remind him to take my meat out of the microwave and put it on my sandwich. Third, my sandwich sucked. I had several bites that were just bread and nothing else. Blah. Finally, after consuming my food, I got out of my chair and the person I was with started freaking out. Why, you ask? Well, because there was a big old roach making its way across the tile floor. GROSS. I won’t be returning here.

Even though I reviewed this place only like two months ago, I thought this place deserved an update — and not for a positive reason. The food is really not bad. As I said before, standard subway fare. I have seen gnats, but that doesn’t really bother me. What kind of immune system would I have if I couldn’t handle a fruit fly or two? Right? The reason for this update is because of the service. I did write last time about how the service was subpar, but I didn’t really consider it a huge inconvenience until I went with a friend last time: The worker, who already seemed like she hated working there, was rude and inattentive. I asked her /twice/(the second time, I said it during the middle of choosing toppings, so there is no way she did not hear me) to cut my sandwich in half, and she simply ignored me. I don’t know if it’s against Subway’s policy or something, but I would have at least liked a response back. And whatever, I can cut it in half once I get home. Then, she added lettuce to the sandwich without asking — and I asked her to take it off, if she could(I prefer having only spinach on my sandwich, sorry for being picky). She rolled her eyes, and took it off. I asked for the toppings, and when she didn’t respond, I repeated myself — but then she rolled her eyes again and said she heard me, her tone reminiscent of a bratty teenager who’s huffy at her parents. She proceeded to speak in a different language to the other worker(who I think may be a manager or the owner) in a way that made me suspicious that she was trashing me. Cherry on top — she STILL messed up the order, yet again. So I, again, corrected her, and she again, rolled her eyes and, get this, let out an exasperated ‘ugh’. I was astounded and rendered speechless. I’m glad my friend spoke up for me, saying that I told her the same order more than once, and that it’s not my fault she couldn’t get the order right. Even if she wasn’t trashing me to her coworker, I’m really fed up with the service here. Plus, if there was an issue with hearing, the workers can always point to a topping and make sure to put on the right one — it’s not like there’s a brick wall in between us. I’m not mad about the fact that they kept giving me the wrong toppings — I’m upset with the way the worker treated my friend and I. I’ve never been to a business that treated their customers THIS rudely and am reluctant to ever return to this specific Subway. I’ll walk the extra few blocks to the other Subway on campus. Some of the workers(who also seem to be the owner or related to the owner) not only seem to hate working there, but their customers as well.

better than the one on 12th and girard mainly since 9am and everything is ready to order(girard location not so much) full selection of breads, sandwiches and never crowded(when i go anyways) 9−930am. the dude, sandwich maker doesn’t seem the happiest and talks a lot of s*it under his breath while making sandwiches but the hell with it, the sandwiches taste good. i’ll take the hatred for a fresh sandwich anyday of the week. Dude gets the order right 9 times outta 10 but if its a big order don’t expect the sandwiches to be labled. he looked like he wanted to jump the counter and do some mortal kombat type beat down when i asked last time

My friend had a coupon so we decided to waste time and go there. It would’ve been better if we just tossed the coupon. If I could give them 0 stars, than I would’ve. My friend went first and the guy making our sandwich messed up her order. I made my order, talking slowly and loudly to be sure he heard me. Apparently, he did not. He messed up my order. He than copped an attitude with me when I told him(politely as I can) that I told him bacon. He than procedures to open my already cheesy melted sandwich and stuffs half a bacon strip. Seriously dude? Just because you hate your job and us college students, don’t take it out on me. My friend and I have worked in the food industry so we are always polite as can be and hate to be a hassle. After we paid, we sat down to eat our food, we both took a bite and made the same face, my gosh it was horrible! I’ve eaten blood clot and pigs brain that tasted better! Never again will I set foot in here. There’s so many other better places.
